Hate me or love me, you watched. That’s all you could do.

This moment feels too surreal for me. In one short day, I will walk the stage to become an alumnus of the Florida State University. Attending this university has been of dream of mine since I was eleven years old, and only by the grace of God am I able to say I did it. These last two years at this university have gone by extremely fast. But the things I learned and the people I’ve met have made up for that. Whether positive or negative, I’m thankful for everyone who has touched my life and helped craft me into a better person than when I walked onto this campus.

𝑯𝒚𝒎𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒕 & 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒍𝒅

I cannot believe my time at FSU has really come to an end. I remember 10 years ago when my mom was forcing me to make the FSU war chant her ringtone. I didn’t understand her love for FSU then, but I certainly do now. FSU was and IS more than just a university to me, it’s my second home. While my time in Miami shaped me as a person FSU molded me into the adult I am now. I will never be able to give back all this university gave to me. But I will always be always to sing the praises of FSU and remember and feel the good times I felt here.

Thank you for the last 4 years FSU

I will now and always remain 𝑼𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓

In four days I will be walking the stage receiving a master’s degree in Museum & Cultural Heritage Studies. This moment feels surreal to me and everyday that passes by that feeling does not subside. Never once growing up did I see myself receiving a masters degree—yet—here I find myself. And how I am so thankful for it. I walk across the stage as more complete person than when I did two years ago and I have to thank Florida State for that. Through all the ups and downs Florida State is a rock that I look to for stability and guidance, and just like any pioneer it’s time to move along.
