STITCH LAB IS ON @cnbcmakeit 🤩✂️!!!

what started with a few sewing machines from facebook market and a handful of students has grown into one of the biggest sewing communities here in austin. and now our story is being shared around the world 🙏🏽❤️

i’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built 🥹 stitch lab has always been about making sewing accessible, bringing people together, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. and that’s exactly what we’ll continue to do as we grow!!!

as an afro-latino founder, it means so much to share my story and represent latinos, afro-latinos, and our Black and Brown communities. i’ll always be proud of where i come from, and i’ll continue creating spaces for our communities to be seen, celebrated, and represented 👏🏽❤️

a huge thank you to @cnbcmakeit and Jennifer Liu for sharing our story. to every single person who has taken a class, shared a post, told a friend, collaborated with us, or supported stitch lab in any way, the love and support never go unnoticed, and i’m so grateful for all of it 🫶🏽

extremely happy and proud of this life and all this growth. and we’re only getting started YA TÚ SABE!!! 🇩🇴🇲🇽❤️✂️ by @ericlugo

comienza con el sueño 🥀🇲🇽 by @ericlugo

costa rica,

a reminder of how much life there is to live.

to slow down. to wake up early. to move my body. to try new things. to appreciate the little things and the people I get to experience them with.

a reminder that all the hard work is worth it when it allows me to see more of this world, experience moments like these, and live a life I’m proud of. especially when you get to do it with the homies.

came home feeling grateful, at peace, and reminded that I’m capable of so much more than I sometimes allow myself to believe.

ONE STITCH AT A TIME 🥹❤️

Feeling really grateful and really proud of this.

When I started Stitch Lab, I just wanted to create a space where people could come learn how to sew, feel comfortable being a beginner, meet some cool people, and hopefully leave feeling proud of something they made.

and somehow, little by little, it’s turned into this incredible community that continues to show up for us over and over again 🫶🏽

Being able to now take some of that love and support and pour it back into our community through Sew It Forward is really special to me.

Thank you @culturemapatx and @briannacaleri for seeing what we’re building and sharing the story behind it. and thank YOU to every single person who has walked through our doors, taken a class, shared a post, told a friend, came back again, or supported Stitch Lab in any way 🤩👏🏽

y’all are the reason we get to keep doing this and we’re only getting started baby 🥹🪡
