Much of my summer was spent in LA working on this expansive mural at Rumi's Kitchen @ Westfield Century City. Three deployments with an amazing team! Thankful...

This mural was originally painted by Victor White and Margaret Kelly White painted in 1932 in a private residence in San Antonio. They painted this during the depression before the WPA grants, they were partners in a different era. I was asked to recreate a wall to integrate into this mural, as well as matching their painting style and other restoration. An honor and I hope that it is an homage to these artists.

Winter escape/ Yucatan.... After a fun challenging project in LA a couple of us decided to tag along on another cohort's trip to Mexico to delay our return to the east coast winter. She was attending a wedding in Merida, seemed like a fine idea! Feeling thankful and rejuvenated from a surplus of vitamin D and the beauty of the Yucatan Pennisula! by @erikalangstroth

... Finally, I made it to Portugal! Such a beautiful country. Solo road trip from Lisbon up to Porto, into the Douro River Valley and Amarante... then back down the coast. Did stop in Nazare, missed the 100' plus waves, but still impressive! I wish I had more time, to explore... I am already plotting a trip back here! Magical ending to a wonderful work trip to UK and Sweden! taken in Portugal by @erikalangstroth

As a decorative painter, one of the many things I love is seeing the whole of the project come together!

I am thankful that the job I have allows me to travel and enjoy the landscapes that surround us. What has happened in California and the ramifications from the fires is catastrophic, and politicizing this by way of our federal government is, at the very least inhumane! I felt trepidation of going out for work during this time, I spoke to friends as well in LA and yeah, we need to work and support wherever and however we can. taken in Ojai, California by @erikalangstroth

RIP to our little mischievous Clue! A cat with so many monikers, first and foremost being Love Yo'Self! Which he did with a forthright gusto and flair! Followed with Clucifer, Inspector Cluseau, Master and Commander of the USS Clue, amongst others. He served as a much beloved ambassador throughout many backyards in Bedstuy. A connoisseur of fine meats and fishes delicately stolen off of many plates over the years! The microwave became a safe place to store things before grilling! A very special loved little beast, we will miss you! He went in a very peaceful way and had been suffering. Rest in the sun in the place you loved baby!! by @erikalangstroth

A big shout out to Riad, Lee, and their team! Congrats on this well deserved review! Amazing food experience and the building of community that they seamlessly bring together through their love of their craft and welcoming spirit! I have loved working with them in collaboration to help create the physical environments for these spaces.
