Yesterday’s final Día de Muertos haul with Dad. 🧡🌼 Good food, lots of flowers, and a special stop at my late aunt’s panadería to pick up some pan de muerto and see the beautiful altar her family and staff put together in her honor. 🤍 by @erikas_ig

A little sweetness, a little magic, and a little Amor Eterno. ✨🧡

Closing out the year with a full house for our final Community Workshop! 🖤

One of my favorite parts of my work at @weareangelcity is bringing community leaders together to learn and connect. Our Community Workshop Program offers free professional development for LA-based community organizations and their leaders.

Today’s workshop, “Building Unstoppable Teams: The Culture That Drives Results,” focused on leadership and creating workplaces where people can thrive.

Thank you to Amy Taylor, Angel City FC’s CEO; @cateluzio Luminary’s Founder & CEO; and Jeri Doris, Justworks’ Chief People Officer, for sharing their perspectives during our fireside chat. Cate also guided the room through practical hiring and retention strategies.

Seeing people exchange ideas and leave with tools they can use in their own organizations makes this work so meaningful to me.

Grateful to my colleagues, everyone at @justworks and @weareluminary who helped make this happen, and the community members who filled the room with thoughtful questions and ideas.

Saturday morning on the pitch! ⚽️🩷

Spent the morning alongside our Angel City FC Community Coaches at a youth soccer clinic with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles.

Grateful for opportunities to continue learning, growing as a coach, and putting what I’ve learned into practice while sharing my love for the game with the next generation of players.

And of course, we had to get a group photo! Swipe to see what happened when we asked everyone for a funny pose. 😂⚽️

Sharing a little bit of the work I help lead at @weareangelcity 🩷🖤

Tonight, we welcomed 25+ SOAR Program participants and their coaches from the Girls Play LA Soccer Leadership Academy at Mar Vista Recreation Center to our Angel City FC Headquarters. Their rec center is just about 5 miles away from our office.

The SOAR Program is a leadership development program for female and gender-expansive youth soccer players ages 12–17. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, participants build confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, and explore careers in sports.

Our partner @thesectionz @sectionzrow501 leads instruction and programming, while @lacityparks provides host sites and recruits participants through the Girls Play LA Soccer Leadership Academy.

Tonight’s visit gave participants a behind-the-scenes look at the business side of professional soccer and a chance to connect with staff across departments.

Thank you to our mentors @amedeaaa , Sulema, and @crystalshooz for sharing your stories and insights.

My heart is full. Grateful to help young people discover the many paths in sports. 🩷🖤⚽️ by @erikas_ig

Who’s got me smiling like that?
Getting to bring people together through work I care about. 🤭🩷

On October 1, we hosted “Belonging by Design: Creating Spaces Where Everyone Can Participate” as part of the free Community Workshop Series provided by @weareangelcity

Thank you to @eastersealssocal for helping us shape the workshop and leading an experience centered on disability, neurodiversity, and inclusive design.

Together, we explored how the spaces we create, how we interact, and the systems we build shape whether people feel welcome, supported, and able to participate.

One of my favorite parts of this work is bringing LA community leaders together to learn from our partners and one another, then take those lessons back to their communities.

These photos caught a little of the joy that comes with it. 🩷

More time on the pitch ⚽️🤍

Spent today coaching with Angel City FC alongside the United States of America Deaf Soccer Association for a soccer clinic for Deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes ages 5–18.

So cool getting to learn from U.S. Deaf Women’s National Team players @sydneyandrews_11 and @miawhite.21 who led us through the day. 🫶🏽
