Elated to finally share my 2026 professional dance reel and what a whirlwind of emotions this process brought on. ✨It feels impossible to encapsulate 10+ years of professional work in under 90 seconds but looking back and seeing how this reel has evolved since my very first one in 2018 is kind of surreal.I’m beyond grateful for every opportunity and every mentor, choreographer, director, artist, teacher, peer and creative who’s trusted me along the way. For every new space I stepped into to create. Every moment where butterflies filled my stomach and adrenaline took over. Every film, project, music video, live performance, installation, rehearsal and memory. There are far too many to count and what a blessing that is.Each experience has shaped me not only as a dancer, but as an artist, a creator and a human being.To those of you who’ve continuously shown up for me, shared my work, encouraged me and spoken life into me - THANK YOU. 🫀 The village behind me means more than I could ever put into words and I hope you know that every bit of your support has stayed with me.Dance has always been my first love. My home. My safest place. My greatest teacher. Documentation of my Torreón trip, pt. 2.Atop the mountains sits El Cristo de las Noas, surrounded by replicas of sacred sites found throughout the Holy Land.So much of the imagery that lives in my mind is influenced by places like this. The architecture. The way light pours through stone and stained glass. The symbolism woven into every detail. The quiet reverence. The care and devotion poured into preserving these spaces year after year.I’ve always found myself fascinated by Roman Catholicism and, like many belief systems, I approach it with curiosity rather than certainty. Beyond faith itself, I’m deeply drawn to the visual language it has created in terms of the art, the ritual, the history and the spaces that have a way of making you feel both incredibly small and profoundly connected.I hope you enjoy this small piece of Torreón as much as I do. 🫀 by @erikatheplant

Back in March, I drove my mom and I back home to Torreon, COAH. 🫀Here’s a partial documentation of my first road trip to Mexico ever. Included is a video of me off-roading to avoid an accident caused by a semi tipping over. Finally seeing my grandmother after six years. Finally seeing this house and breathing in the scent of my grandparents home. Holding my grandfather’s and tia’s ashes for the first time. Re connecting with extended family. Eating food I haven’t touched in well over a decade. Sorting through my mom and her siblings physical music collection. Breathing in the Coahuila air - surrounded by 143s everywhere (I love you). The roots from which I grew from live deep within me. I am so grateful to be shaped by all of this. 🫀 by @erikatheplant

New movement direction for “Alessa” music video by the sensational @newdawn.tx x @rr.cinematic. 🕷️🕸️🗡️One of my favorite projects I’ve gotten a chance to work on so far in 2026. As a horror film buff, it was so exciting to watch the parallels between “Alessa” and “The Exorcist” be brought to life by this team of visionaries. It was a true honor to share space with this incredible team of people. I am left so inspired and moved by this community. No amount of “thank yous” can truly express my gratitude. To @newdawn.tx and the boys over @rr.cinematic, thank you for your trust, collaboration and opportunity to work alongside you all. New Dawn, it’s literally only a matter of time until guys are a household name. To my sweet @scarthestaaaaaaaar - thank you for your professionalism, talent and your ability to encompass any role given to you. From the get, I knew you were made for this role and I look forward to every single chance we have to work together in the future. To my extended brain cell @andicazz - thank you as well for your professionalism, attention to detail and ability to take initiative. Your spirit is heard in the moments you assist in piecing puzzles together and I want you with me in every room where art is created. 30!!!!!! 30 LAPS AROUND THE SUN!!! 🎉🫀29 was so confusing!! And filled with so much change!!! But joy will always prevail!! And I am so stupid lucky to have the village around me that I do!! Thank you endlessly to my family, my partner, the people near and far that have loved me unconditionally. Rob and I turn one today! 🌱🪴🪻💐🌿🌱🌳🫀🫂🎉365 days of being loved by the most tender, kind hearted and wonderful man. To know Rob is to know true selfless, gentle and honest love. My sweet boy, you are the rain that pours over open fields and the blooms that happen in the days after. You are the crispiest and freshest breath of air. You are the bright, warm hues of pinks, oranges and yellows in sunsets. You are the rays of light that break through the clouds and look like a peek of heaven. I love our beautiful life together. I love our home. I love our family. You have given me more life than I’ve ever known and for that, I thank God every single day. I am forever changed by your love. Thank you for being an exemplary human being and showing me daily that the love I always dreamed of is a love that was never too much to ask for. New choreography/movement direction work for @notericibarra’s short film “Two Step” as part of @wearemitu x @walmart Filmmaker Mentorship program. 🕺🏻🪩I am filled to the BRIM with gratitude as I reflect on the amount of joy and creative energy that was shared on set.
