Imagine taking crude oil from the ground and putting it in your car. It wouldn't run! Why not? Because it hasn't been turned into a usable form for your car. It needs to be converted to petrol. Now think of that in terms of nutrients. Methylation is the process that your bodies uses to take nutrients and turn them into bioabsorbable forms in your body. When you consume folic acid and you have the MTHFR gene mutation, it shuts down your ability to do that!

Have you heard of MTHFR? Nearly half the American population has this gene mutation that keeps you from being able to use nutrients in your body. In short, read your food labels (anything with enriched flour in this country has folic acid in it), and use methylated vitamins! It might lift a fog you've been living in and help with focus, energy, mood, and so many other things!

17 years of love, hard work, dedication, commitment, sacrifice, patience, trials, joy, heartache, laughter, and all the things that have made us, us. I love you @bentylercoleman Happy anniversary! by @erilee.designs

I promise I haven't stopped doing projects! I've just finished a master's degree, career change, and have a club soccer kid now 😂

My son loves his closet! He has SO much more storage and even room to play in there now. The colors all tie into the colors in his room and the entire upstairs.

I used @sherwinwilliams urbane bronze for the sides, retreat for the darker green, and @retiqueliquidwood in barnwood for the shelves.

I haven't posted to my page in a year! Why? Well, my biggest project in 2025 was myself. After struggling to keep autoimmune flare-ups under control on my own, I found help through @redriverhealthandwellness and have been feeling amazing since starting with them almost 6 months ago. As I reach the end of my official treatment plan with them, I can testify that what we put in our bodies affects how we feel more than you would ever imagine.

After cutting out every inflammatory food I could and slowly reintegrating some (not all) back into my diet, I have found relief from inflammation, head fog, increased energy, better sleep, and overall feelings of wellness and immense accomplishment. I am truly proud of myself for sticking with it, and am so grateful for the help I have received.

Education is priceless. Fortunately, this is where I've grown the most. With the new knowledge and understanding I have about food, I know how and am better equipped to protect myself from future flare-ups, and know how to combat them faster if and when they do come.

I'm hopeful to get back to projects, but I might start sharing some recipes I've come up with during this journey as well. It truly has become a new passion of mine.

Cheers to 2026! I hope this year is healthier and happier for us all! by @erilee.designs

Hey! Remember me?! I used to do DIY projects all the time and share them on here... and then I started my master's program, got my teaching licensed, and changed careers after 14 years of doing dental hygiene!
So, sorry! I haven't shown up here much. I did, however, finally finish this wall I started in my girls' bathroom! I love this mother of pearl tile from @loweshomeimprovement and love the stain I used for the medicine cabinet by @minwaxusa

Stay tuned to see what I do with the hole I just made in the wall 😊

Part 1 of the girl's bathroom makeover is done. Thanks to @loweshomeimprovement I found this beautiful subway tile and used it to make a statement with a classic herringbone pattern.
Thanks to @musselboundtilemat
I was able to casually work on this wall in between working my hygiene job, doing my master's program, and spending 3 days at the soccer pitch for a tournament this weekend!
I love how this turned out and can not wait to finish the side of their wall, their niche, and repaint the poor, peeling door.

Happy Halloween! I am so grateful to my husband for his hard work in rebuilding our poor haunted house after a really strong wind storm blew it down 3 days before Halloween! We worked our butts off this week to get it done in time, and it was even better than before, not to mention way sturdier!

I saw Kim @barberellahome making this awesome 10' tall pumpkin decoration and knew it would be the perfect addition to our front yard.
I bought 2 sheets of 5mm sanded plywood for it and some foam sheets to cut it out on.

We love having @loweshomeimprovement so close to home. They're always there when we're in a crunch!

I finished a board and batten wall for my friends this week. It's the last image on this reel! So watch the whole thing if you want to see how it turned out 😆

But seriously, these are probably my favorite kind of DIY projects. They're just fun!
I used 1x3 primed mdf trim for this week's wall from @loweshomeimprovement and the best paint color from @hgtvhomebysherwinwilliams in #evergreenfog

What's your favorite kind of accent wall?

After 5.5 weeks my son finally has his bathroom back! I am so grateful to have this project so close to completely finished!
I love these frameless barndoor glass shower doors I got from @loweshomeimprovement. They are exactly what I was looking for and I love the height it gives to the space! I used shower height doors in here rather than bathtub height for that extra foot, I think it was the right call.
Stay tuned as I wrap up this space with building his cabinet drawers and finish those last few punch list items.
