SAHM to 2 girls, beginner quilter/sewist
Slowing down & building new rhythms this season ✨🌀

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I bought a machine and took a class after my husband told me that I didn’t have any real hobbies 🤪 (he has a number of hobbies) it was a crash course quilt in a day at a LQS and I was determined that I could do it with beginners confidence and quite a few YouTube tutorials!

1.How to turn on my machine (no, but really). 2. How to thread a bobbin and my machine. 3.How to change presser feet. 4. How to sew in a straight(ish) line. 5. How to press seams. 6. How to spray and pin baste before quilting. 7. How to “stitch in the ditch. 8. How to rip a whole lot of seams. 9. How to machine bind. 10. How to hand bind.

I am so thankful that my husband nudged me into learning new things a little over a year ago! The fabric selected was for my first born who is blueberry OBSESSED! #quilt #beginnerquilting #grandmahobbies by @erin.leitz

One of the transitions that I was most nervous about for this season: HOMESCHOOL preschool!! I don’t know why it felt so heavy to get started because it has been so much fun - we don’t plan on using a set curriculum just yet since she’s only 3, but getting started with some structured learning/sit down time for about 30 minutes a day during the week has been so much fun! Our other learning takes place through play, outdoor time, and functional life skills (folding towels, cooking etc) 🌀❤️🖍️#sahm #preschoolathome by @erin.leitz
