privilege of my little life to play Mx. Joan of Arc. i will talk your ear off about her, as many friends and strangers will attest. the not-so-secret fact is that i’ve adored her since i was 11, when i read a tiny blurb about her in my religion textbook. i’d like nothing more than to keep telling her story for the rest of my days.

we always need rebellious, pure-of-heart youth, but we need them now more than ever. my prayer is that the play inspired softness and strength in just fights.

thank you, @tennesseeshakespeare, for this incredible journey. and thanks to the best director, adaptor(!), ensemble, and team. miss you all.

p.s. the show goes on! kind of. if you like things like queerness, spirituality, and catholic mass(?!), but set in the present day, keep your eyes peeled for info on my solo show, Kingdom Come. it’ll premiere at Philly Fringe in September. details to come ❤️‍🔥

Who doesn’t like finding treasures in the trash? Especially when it offers some comfort or wisdom?

Lois found the framed embroidery in the photo above in the giveaway pile at the county dump. For the July 21 Care Cafe, we invite you to bring your found wisdom or trash treasure to share!

It could be in the form of an object, a saying, a story, or even some magical trash materials that we might use to make something wise and wonderful - like a collage, a mobile, or a wall hanging like the one in the picture.

As usual there will come cool refreshment and plenty of care and kindness to go around.

See you there!

About a Care Cafe...
A Care Café asks us to turn up as we are, with no specific agenda, expectation, or discussion topic, simply asking the question: How can we maintain an attitude of care in an uncaring world? Set up like a conventional café with small tables and chairs, the Care Café acts as a temporary venue for community and conversation with some simple table activities set up within a framework of care. Just by entering the room, we acknowledge something of our own needs in the present moment and our desire to give and receive care.

You can RSVP with La Mama to let us know you are coming, but you can drop in anytime between 5-7 pm.

it was a dream to work with @jonisadorelevin, a team of puppeteer/actors, and @nytw79 at Adelphi a couple of weeks ago. i had so much fun! i took no photos!

looking forward to the world seeing the Fritz Haber Project (following a man of contradictions) and the humanettes (the silliest, most striking puppet/human mashup).

still buzzing from being around such vibrant ideas + artists. more focused time, space and community with other artists, please! thanks to all who made this residency happen & invited me in. taken in Adelphi University by @erinamlyes

Back in April, we sat down with Jeff Evans for CANNONCAST, Cannonball Fest’s *official* podcast and chatted about collage onstage, devising, and some of the creative juice that has inspired our show, KINGDOM COME.

Give it a listen and then check out the rest of the inspiring(!), diverse(!), experimental(!) projects that are also featured on the pod and premiered alongside us at Miniball in Philadelphia. It was a stacked weekend.
