I love you so so much little brother❤️

Dallin passed away around 6pm on Friday, October 25th in a paramotor accident over Willard Peak. We don’t yet know the cause of why this happened.

We reported him overdue when we realized something was amiss, and were lucky enough to have access to his flight path so we knew where to send Search & Rescue. They hiked through the night to reach him, but were unable to recover him until the morning of October 26th, when they were able to bring him home by helicopter.

We are in the throes of grief, but are finding many times to laugh as we remember his free spirit. How he was never able to sit still, had a thriving and vibrant need for adventure, and threw himself wholeheartedly into each new hobby he picked up.

He always wanted to fly.

As a child, he dreamed of creating functional wings. That dream was one of many things that led him to pursue an education in aerospace engineering, in which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree this summer. It also led him to the sport of paramotoring, which gave way to a long week of classes and over 30 incredible flights. Though his life ended the way it did, he lived a lifelong dream. As we look through photos and videos of his life, we have found so many of him laughing, exuberant as he stole moments among the clouds.

There are truly no words to describe the onslaught of emotion, the waves that come and go. We sincerely appreciate all of the love and support we have received, and ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

The date of the memorial service hasn’t been decided, but if you’d like to know please message me.

If you’d like to help, in lieu of flowers, we’d like to suggest donating to the Search and Rescue volunteers who helped get Dallin off the mountain. We are forever grateful for them and their selflessness in helping our family. If you’d like to donate, please send it to my mom’s venmo and she will send everything to Search and Rescue.❤️

almost made it a whole year since the last time i had knee surgery…… buttttt not quite. a week ago on thursday my brothers came into town and we went snowboarding and then line dancing. it was such a fun night! we were all killing it on the dance floor (of course) when i did a lil heel click and something went really wrong in my knee. when i came back down it hurt like hell and i couldn’t straighten my knee all the way or walk on it. a couple days later i got it checked out and that same day had surgery. turns out i re-tore my meniscus, and then it flipped inside my knee. so it’s back to crutches for the next 6 weeks, but don’t y’all worry i’ll be back up and dancing in no time 🤠 by @erinandreasen
