there comes a point in a long partnership where you realize you are no longer standing inside the idea of each other. the mythology wears thin at the elbows. the beautiful projections collapse under the ordinary weight of time, grief, distance, silence, changing bodies, unfinished conversations carried from one season into the next. and somehow this is where love actually begins. @jonimitchell sang about looking at life from both sides now, but partnership asks something even stranger of us: to look at another person from both sides. the side we invented, and the side that is real. the side that dazzled us in the beginning, and the side that sits quietly beside us after disappointment and says nothing at all. to stay long enough to witness someone become many people across one lifetime. there is something profoundly humbling about realizing another person cannot save you from yourself, cannot fill every empty room inside you, cannot remain unchanged simply because you loved the first version best. and still — after seeing the fractures, the contradictions, the exhausted humanity of one another — to keep returning to the same fire. maybe this is what real love is. not endless certainty, but endurance. not being perfectly understood, but being witnessed fully. the slow surrender of fantasy. the quiet miracle of choosing each other after the illusions have fallen away. i’ve looked at love from both sides now. from longing and from reality. from projection and from truth. and truth, strangely enough, feels softer. less cinematic. but far more alive. thank you dear @akiewitt for this one 📸 @cocrilly and I are going to cherish it for many chapters to come by @erincain___

— Mary Oliver There are seasons for tending what is seen.
And seasons for becoming in the unseen. This past year, we have been quiet.
Not absent—just listening. To the land.
To the horses.
To what was asking to be reshaped, re-rooted, remembered. Grace Reins has never been something we built quickly.
It is something we have been in relationship with.
And like all living things, it asks for time. Time to deepen.
Time to change.
Time to meet the moment with integrity. The horses have always shown us this. They do not rush healing.
They do not perform or push.
They meet what is real—and nothing else. And so, we have done the same. What is emerging now is not new. 
It is truer. A deeper devotion to this work. 
To the people who find their way here.
To the horses who make it possible.
To the quiet, powerful return to self that happens in between. If you are in a season of change, of breaking open, of beginning again—
there is a place for you here. We’re still here.

What Truth Inside You Has Been Waiting For a Safer Place to Land? Most of the women who come to Wild Harmony have read the books. Done the therapy. They know their attachment style, their patterns, their story by heart. And they still feel the gap between knowing and becoming. This retreat doesn’t close that gap with more insight. You already have plenty. It closes it the way the horses do it, by meeting you exactly where you are, in patience and time, until what you already know finally has somewhere real to land. We are not offering you a weekend that fixes everything. (Isn’t it cute that we think that’s possible ?!?) We are offering three days where the conditions for that landing become more available. our sacred grounds open into a FULL SUMMER of gatherings shaped by horses, community, learning, and deep presence, where each offering unfolds as part of a living, evolving season rather than a fixed schedule. throughout the summer there are intimate retreats, equine-based experiences, conversations with leading voices in the field, community circles, and private gatherings that move between reflection, embodiment, and connection with the land. from healer-led immersions and women’s retreats to collaborative days with educators, authors, and practitioners, the work continues to grow in ways that are both structured and organic, always rooted in relationship with the horses and the natural world. we are holding space for everything from community gathering days and sacred sunday-style offerings, to immersive workshops, educational talks, and private retreats that blend somatic healing, writing, reflection, and experiential learning. this includes collaborations with respected voices in education, trauma work, and equine-assisted practices, as well as ongoing seasonal programming designed to invite people into slower time, deeper listening, and authentic connection. we are constantly updating and shaping what emerges as the season unfolds, and we are so grateful to be opening these grounds again to those who feel called into this kind of work, this kind of quiet transformation, and this kind of summer held by horses and land. taken in Grace Reins Equine Therapy by @erincain___

there is a moment i keep witnessing in women that i don’t think we talk about enough it’s the moment they can explain everything about themselves—clearly, intelligently, even beautifully—and still feel like something in their life hasn’t quite caught up that space between knowing and becoming is exactly where we meet you at wild harmony and i want to say how deeply honored i am to share this work again with @ruthielindsey wild harmony is an intimate, 3-day women’s equine therapy retreat at @gracereins_equinetherapy in telluride, colorado, led by ruthie alongside myself it is a space where somatic work, breath, honest conversation, and time with horses come together in a way that is simple, grounded, and deeply revealing most of the women who come here are not new to healing. they already understand themselves in many ways. but there is still this tender gap between insight and embodiment—between what we know and what we are actually living ruthie’s work lives right there. she gently brings women out of the mind’s effort to figure everything out and back into the body, where change becomes something you can actually feel and practice, even when it’s imperfect and slow this is not about learning more
it is about letting what you already know finally land for me, grace reins has always been about offering a place where nothing has to be held together so tightly. where horses reflect truth without judgment. where women can soften enough to hear themselves again | | wild harmony retreat | |

Sacred Sundays at Grace Reins begin June 7th, and we are looking forward to gathering with you. These intimate Sunday experiences are designed for reflection, connection, conversation, sound healing, and equine-guided presence, held in the quiet beauty of the land and herd at Grace Reins. the horses do not care about the version of the story where you almost got it right. they do not care that you texted the wrong person back or stayed too long somewhere your spirit had already left or built a life around survival and called it success. they stand beside human beings all day long watching us drop things, forget things, break promises to ourselves, circle the same wounds again and again. and still they do not leave. i think that is part of the medicine. not redemption. not reinvention. just the quiet shock of being fully witnessed in your imperfection and discovering the earth does not open beneath you. out here people cry because a horse stayed close after they stopped trying to appear healed. there is something holy about realizing you do not have to tighten every loose thread of yourself to deserve connection. sometimes healing is simply loosening your grip long enough to let yourself be loved as an unfinished thing. come and see for yourself | that door is always open to you and this summer is inviting you into that sacred space here at @gracereins_equinetherapy @rhianonbrownphotography #equine #equinephotography #equinetherapy #love taken in Grace Reins Equine Therapy by @erincain___

people ask all the time what the business strategy is. what the marketing plan is. how we plan to scale this place with 85 acres of open land, 9 rescued wild horses, and a healing space built mostly on faith and stubborn hope. and the truth is i have never known how to speak the language of funnels and conversions without my soul going a little quiet. because love has always been the strategy here. the horses know it. the land knows it. the people who arrive carrying grief in their shoulders and leave standing a little taller know it too. word spreads because someone finally felt seen. because a stranger was listened to long enough to become a friend. because community grows best when no one is trying to extract from it. i think the real miracle of nonprofits and healing spaces and small community-centered places is that they survive at all in a world that keeps asking for metrics before meaning. and yet somehow they do survive. through shared meals and open gates and people telling people, “you should go there. something about that place feels real.” love has not failed us yet at @gracereins_equinetherapy so this is for all the founders and caretakers and nonprofit leaders resisting the pressure to turn every sacred thing into a strategy. may we trust the slow work of presence. may we keep letting the light in. may we keep building places where people remember they belong. 📸 @akiewitt #businesswomen #nonprofit #love #equinetherapy taken in Grace Reins Equine Therapy by @erincain___
