Big news, Sacred Beings: We have a home. ✨

I am overflowing with gratitude to announce that Sacred Being Yoga is opening a brick-and-mortar sanctuary in downtown Pentwater, Michigan—right across from the beauty of Pentwater Lake. 🌊

This space is more than just a studio; it’s a community hub for healing. A physical container where we can gather, move, breathe, and remember who we are.

What’s coming to the sanctuary:

Daily classes for all levels (beginners to seasoned practitioners).

Collaborations with incredible local and global teachers and healing practitioners.

A mini boutique with goods to serve your soul.

What I am most convinced of now is that this is all there is.🏔️✨
Teaching the one I love the most how to make sourdough with a starter that’s been passed around for decades- leaning in when the road gets rough- walking back to the trailhead to choose a different path, pointing out all the magnificent things that are still here- always here- showing up to every chance you get for family dinners - breathing in the life giving force of connection, and softening into unbreakable arms- taking lessons from the mountain mama holding us all.

This time is so beautiful and full of wonder and so full of heartbreak and evil. Love is the most powetful weapon I have in my arsenal- I am so angry at this sick government and so full of a fierce love for this land- where my ancestors fled to - and were received- where I am as taught that diversity makes us strong- where the true history has always been shrouded by a false image- the land knows that these borders and these races and genders are all made up ways to divide us and disassociate us from our bodies- and earth and each other. So paradox is is holding all this at once- the ancient red rocks of Sedona and the words of revolutionaries against violence, destruction and hatred. To hold the beauty right next to the pain- that’s what I was thinking of while exploring the ancestral homelands of the Yavapai (Dilzhe’e), Western Apache (including Tonto Apache), Hopi, Havasupai, and Zuni peoples. Remembering the long game of Mother Earth time, getting sun medicine, surrounded by teachers generously offering wisdom and grieving. Holding the paradox of what it means to be human at this time is holding the wonder right next to terror. by @erincolette
