Thoughts: 19/10/26

The last few days have been absolutely wild.

So much guidance and synchronicity has been flowing through, and every little sign has been handing me another piece of clarity, and honestly it’s blowing my mind.

This whole year has been a slow coming home to myself.

Rediscovering who I am, reinventing, rebuilding, and somehow I’m closing it out knowing exactly who I am and what I’m here to do, which is something I couldn’t have said with any certainty at the start of it.

There’s so much content online about rebuilding after a hard season, and so much of it is about speed.

The overnight quantum leap, the life that changes in seven days. And I just want to be honest with you, because that hasn’t been my experience at all.

Yes, some big things have shifted in the last three to five months, but this year has held so many highs and even more lows, and the way back has been slow and winding and nothing like a straight line.

I know so many of you in this community are in the middle of your own rebuild right now. You’re finding your way back to your spark, your aliveness, your clarity, your confidence, your purpose and your business, piece by piece.

So I want to say this to you as gently and as fiercely as I can. Keep at it with all the resilience and devotion you’ve got, and hold yourself with just as much compassion if it’s taking longer than you hoped it would.

Please don’t give up. Even when you find yourself back in freeze mode, back questioning absolutely everything, keep going, because every time you choose to keep going you’re taking another step home.

You will find your way back to yourself. Maybe not as fast as you wanted, but you will.

Babe, you already know what you need to do, so let’s make this the week you actually start doing it.

Cool AF Academy is $97 this week only (usually $297) and it’s everything I teach about self-esteem, self-trust and becoming the woman who just takes action.

Comment ā€œCOOLACADEMYā€ and I’ll send you the link to enrol before the price goes back up ✨ by @erinmayhenry

My wild soul can be both a gift and a curse in this modern world. While I am so grateful to feel and think so deeply, it also can be challenging when I lack the time or space to process the darkness when it arrives.

There is always something more to do, more to create, more to earn, more to post, and this leads to putting immense pressure on myself. And sometimes I just crack.

It’s in these moments that I feel so incredibly lucky that I manifested a partner that can hold both my strength and weakness at the same time.

I have always felt safe to completely crumble, and yet he has such a powerful way of gently helping me piece myself back together.

11.10.26 voice note to self.

I’m well aware that rebranding is not going to change my life if it’s not coming from the right place. If it’s not coming from sincerity and genuine curiosity to have different experiences and uncover different aspects of myself.

But right now I am curious, curious but confused.

I feel very inspired by the wild woman archetype. I feel very inspired to get more into nature. I feel very inspired to connect women to their power. I feel very inspired to speak on creativity and being multi-passionate, and helping women who are multi-passionate to build a personal brand, because that is the way that they get to experience the width of their wild life.

The issue I’m facing, and I suppose why I’m asking this question right now, is because I almost don’t know how to integrate who I want to be as this wild woman into the practicality of the day-to-day. I don’t want to contaminate this idealistic version of myself as this wild woman with the reality of the mundane. But I realise that it is in the everyday moments that you actually do become. That you actually do experience.

I’m also really tired of oscillating between versions of myself, different identities. Whilst it is absolutely a part of who I am on the greater scale of my life, my nervous system needs a break. I need to reside in an identity for a while that just feels calm and safe and comfortable, rather than constantly chasing the next exciting version of me. And I need this safety and comfort as a foundation from which I can grow.

And so what I’m really asking is, where do I go from here? How do I actually let this influence of the wild woman archetype, and nature, and creativity, and the muse, and the artist actually shape my very next move without being so afraid I’ll change my mine or feel underwhelmed by reality?

Being multipassionate is both a superpower and a curse, and I say that as the most multipassionate woman you’ll ever meet.

Because when you know deep in your soul that you have the potential to do anything, you can also find yourself completely paralysed by where and how to even start.

And the thing is, if you’re a high achiever, you’re probably also a perfectionist, and if you’re incredibly creative, you’re probably also really hard on yourself.

I know this because I am her. I’m the girl who, when I’m stuck or procrastinating, absolutely shuts down and goes into myself instead of asking for help, and then gets frustrated with myself for not taking action when I know exactly what I should be doing.

So that’s what my community is for. We are the wild cards, and I’m dedicated to helping women like us move past the chronic self-sabotage so we can actually go and live the big life we know we’re meant for.

Follow along if this is you @erinmayhenry šŸ†āœØ

Yesterday in my membership, Club Wild Card, we were having a conversation about content ideas and how being in a state of dysregulation can put you into ideation constipation.

I chatted about how the ideal system for overcoming your creative freeze mode is: a calm nervous system that feels safe to move, a positive mindset not overrun by the voice of your inner critic, and evidence (through taking it one step at a time) that you actually can do what you’re currently avoiding.

The thing is, I actually needed this advice just as much as the client I was giving it to… I don’t know if you saw my story, but six days ago I dived headfirst into… a sandbank, leaving me unable to move most of the week with HORRIBLE whiplash.

I felt so annoyed. This month in the membership, we are focusing on LOCKING IN, and my lock-in was supposed to be content, but the stress of being bedridden for the fourth time this year totally blocked me.

I TRIED doing my content plan in Notion, all the things, but honestly, it was HAVING FUN that reconnected me back to my creativity and flow.

Anyway, this is a new type of content I am trying because I wanna show my btcpik life while sharing the personal brand and content lessons I am learning along the way.

Let me know what you think!!!

This year I started skateboarding for the first time at 36 years old… the same year I was rebuilding my business after a huge career pivot.

Much like my skateboarding, I started this year in business super wobbly and unsure of myself… but it was actually skateboarding that taught me exactly what I needed to rebuild my success as a business owner.

The first lesson, as you can see here, is that CONSISTENCY does actually pay off.

I don’t know why I expect to fail before I succeed at skateboarding, yet feel like giving up when things fail in business.

Whether it’s launching a new product or creating content… the truth is, you have to get it wrong a bunch of times first to learn how to get it right.

Sure, it can feel more embarrassing to have your posts flop before finding your winning content formula than it is to fall off your skateboard until you get the trick right, but nonetheless, the process doesn’t change.

When you just keep trying, eventually you get it, and once you get it, you keep it.

The second lesson is that mentorship and support… they’re invaluable in the beginning.

Shout-out to my very patient man for the 100 times he held my hand as I learned to skateboard, correcting my mistakes and catching me when I fall.

And shout-out to the women, the mentors, the friends who did the same as I rebuilt my business. It’s just so much harder to do it alone.

Little bit of a vulnerable confession, but I cannot explain how good it feels to FINALLY break free from the ā€œit has to do well or I’m embarrassedā€ cycle on social media.

Over the last year I have been in such a comparison loop with my past self, that led to severe self doubt over everything I created.

My post and ghost pattern was because I felt so low about my results. I felt embarrassed and that surly people were thinking;

ā€œShe’s not as vibey as she used to beā€

My desire to be loved, to be seen a certain way was bruised every time I posed and didn’t reach my rudimentary benchmark.

It’s taken a lot of surrender to move past this pattern. And although it peaks up every so often, a deeper mission is slowly evolving and taking its place.

To be both the muse, and the artist.

To inspire people to live an extraordinary life, by creating beautiful things.

By living as an example of what it means to love deeply, create from passion and enjoy TF out of existing.

Welcome to my new era, where I have finally found a beautiful art studio inside of myself.

One that I hope while I share from this space, I can make you feel what ever it is you need to fall back in love with your life.

I didn’t meet coolest self until I was 31.

I was in a long term relationship from the age of 23 to 30, and prior to that I spent five years addicted to partying. In my long term relationship, while it was fine and comfortable, I never gave myself the time to explore who I truly was, and what I truly desired.

When I made the decision to leave that relationship at 30 because something inside of me told me I was mean for more, my entire life changed. I spent 6 months rediscovering who I truly and, and to this day it gives me chills to think I may have never have met this version of me had I not taken that scary leap.

At 31 I discovered I’m a badass. I discovered how fun I was, how passionate I am, how create I am. I learned to ride a motorbike, I started Muay Thai, I tried to DJ. I travelled, I made things, I met new people.

Im 36 now and I truly feel like I am the Coolest Person I Know. I idolise myself, I love myself.

I am not saying you need to dump your boyfriend ( but maybe lol??), but what I am saying is that today I am still discovering new layers of my coolest self because I am devoted to choosing me.

It’s never too late to do the same.

Sometimes it’s okay to simply exist in the space between.

After my period of darkness. feeling lost, confused, disconnected. Being on the other side now, I’ve had so much pressure on myself to figure out the next big thing.
To unlock my ā€œnew identity.ā€
To rise again.

But the truth is… I have no idea.

I have no idea why my life crumbled.
I have no idea why I was called to QLD, or why the last 18 months have been filled with so much loss and heartbreak.

It’s so easy to believe that once the dust settles, we must rise like the phoenix, burning with determination and ready for the great comeback story.

But what if sometimes… we just need to be?
To allow space to rediscover ourselves after so many layers have been stripped away.

It’s not about forcing a new identity.
Not about jumping into another ā€œchange my life in three monthsā€ project.

It’s about surrendering to the stillness.
Following the tiny sparks of curiosity.
Watching as the blocks of your new self quietly fall into place.

I’ve always said life moves in seasons.
Some we grow,
Some we crumble,
Some we simply thrive.
And maybe this season… is the one where all we can do is surrender.
