The scenic road trip from Vancouver to Kamloops 🚗

Instead of taking the normal route from Vancouver to Kamloops, we drove Highway 99 through Squamish, Whistler, and Lillooet, and honestly, it’s one of the most beautiful drives in BC. While this route is a lot longer, it’s definitely worth it. You’re driving through mountains, by beautiful lakes, winding through canyons, and there’s so many perfect stops on the way.

If you have the time, I’d recommend doing this drive over 2 days/ 1 night so you can actually stop and enjoy it instead of rushing through.

Where’s David Attenborough when you need him?

We woke up at 5am to see the sunrise, and were lucky to see a whole family of mountain goats making their way down the mountainside.

We watched as they played around the tents in the campground and settled in nearby. We tried to give them a bit of distance, but they got pretty close, just curiously watching us.

"5 things I learned on my first small group hiking trip around Mont Blanc with @exodustravels 🏔️

I went in not knowing what to expect and came out with a list of things I wish I knew beforehand.

Making friends was way easier than I thought, a good guide changes everything, and no, you don’t have to be the fastest hiker in the group to keep up.

Also underrated: the chalet and food actually make a huge difference to how the whole week felt. It was like coming home to a warm cooked meal every day.

Frosty fall mornings in Banff 🏔️❄️

Early fall days are always so hard to dress for. I’m always packing extra layers and switching outfits as the temperatures change.

Just a little evil villain chippy trying to get between me and my dinner 🐿️

A tiny PSA: as cute as these guys are, please don’t feed them 🥹
Feeding them can teach them to associate people with food, which is not great for them (or for the next person who’s trying to eat their dinner in peace 😂)

I went to Mont Blanc for the views, but what I’ll actually remember is…

All the small, unexpected moments that came with it 🥹🥰

The selfies, the laughs, the friends, the food. That’s what really made this trip with @exodustravels special. All the in-between moments (the views were pretty amazing, too).
