Today! It’s out today! All out there for you.
Long list of who to thank but that will keep coming out over the next while. Big thanks and love to my co-producer, Joey Landreth and the band: Joey, Fabio Ragnelli, Julian Bradford, and Attacca Quartet. Big thanks and love to Nathan Schram.

I don’t know what I’m supposed to say. I really like this music. There’s years of information in it. Like, the personal kind of information, and the stuff we work at for years. At the moment, I’m thinking about how glad I am for all the WORK I did to make this. I ENJOY the work of art - keeping my voice in shape, practicing, writing, editing the writing, learning how to sit at the piano and coordinate my hands and my voice. It took me years to get here. There’s years of living bound up in this - years with my husband and children and sisters and questions and memories of the roads not taken and WORK - there is all this living that is processed in these sounds.
Happy release day to me; happy me. Still working at it. taken in Winnipeg, Manitoba by @erinpropp

Yes yes yes we are almost there. I have been swimming in this for a long time and currently I am treading water waiting to hold onto the side of the pool again but my toes are almost touching the tile floor and I know I can dive under one more time before I surface and beach this old whale and then headlock you and drag you into the pool with me on Friday! How is this metaphor working for you?

In the pool with me already:

Two true captions for this:

Caption A. ALBUM DROPS OCTOBER 2 On all DSPs.
I run the risk of sounding too precious about this but here we go —- I love this album. I loved making it. It means a lot to me that I did this and who I did this with mean a lot to me. The events that preceded it and foreshadowed it all were a bit breathtaking for what they were heralding. It wasn’t magic. It was a long-game pursuit, dogged determination even when in the moment it felt like someone was rolling me across the floor to the goal.
I love this record. I want to share it with you.
You can pre-save it in the link in my bio.

Caption B. There are a lot more important things going. If this is adding to the noise of lesser things, turn it off. taken in Winnipeg, Manitoba by @erinpropp

Summer touring is officially done!
Last weekend in Ontario was a blur/blast. BLURBLAST you read it here first, folks.
Thanks to @therextoronto and @markhamjazzfestival for having me down!
Couldn’t have done this without support from @factorcanada @canada.council @manitobafilmmusic
The people who made my music sound as good as possible this weekend were @thetristones @ethanardelli @danielrfortin and I can’t believe (actually I can because it’s me) I didn’t get one single band photo.
Thanks to @allisonaumusic @ronceyguy and @lindsaymcintyremusic for being friends who made the Rex so memorable for me. AND I got to see my buddy @mikejanzenmusic in Markham and I openly wept in a pew while he played with @geokoller and I loved it.
