Happy Halloween!!! by @erintaylor_ma
Had a great time last night at the home opener of the @trentonironhawks inaugural season. @soph.hampton and her team did a great job leading up to last night to kick off the season to a sold out, enthusiastic crowd at CURE Insurance arena. And we created some new hockey fans in @faith.taylor8 ā€˜s friends!!!! by @erintaylor_ma
I was thrilled to spend the evening with my daughter @faith.taylor8 listening to a fireside chat with my dear friend and mentor, @doctorshefali and @pink talking about parenting. P!nk was so real, authentic and vulnerable, sharing with us what keeps her up at night regarding parenting. What a deep thinking, deeply feeling soulful woman she is. And Dr. Shefali is simply brilliant in her wisdom and guidance for parents everywhere. It was great to see many of my friends and colleagues tonight as well. So many of them, including Dr. Shefali, knew exactly who Faith was without me having to introduce her. Simply by knowing me for all the years and watching my children grow up. What a special night on so many levels, and what a blessing to share it with my girl. I should also mention that this was to celebrate the release of Dr. Shefaliā€™s TWO new books - Raising Conscious Daughters and Raising Conscious Sons. Grab your copies right away - I know you will treasure the wisdom in their pages. by @erintaylor_ma
Dropped our guy @b.taylor.26 off at @kingscollegepa on Friday. Itā€™s never easy to drop them off, but itā€™s getting a tiny bit easier now that this is our 10th time dropping a child off at college. Hereā€™s to a great year for Brady, full of fun, learning, good friends and great experiences! by @erintaylor_ma
Even Pickles is trying to will the Flyers to a win! by @erintaylor_ma
I am so incredibly proud of my sweet @faith.taylor8 for being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa this weekend. It is the oldest honor society in the US, having been founded the same year as our country, 1776. It has produced presidents, Supreme Court justices, Nobel prize winners and now, Faith. Way to go, girl. Keep reaching for your dreams and keep being YOU - thatā€™s all you ever need to do, and what Iā€™ve told you your entire life. šŸ„° by @erintaylor_ma
I DID IT! I FINALLY DID IT! I set up this elaborate bird-feeding station with my Bird Buddy bird feeder situated just so in the hopes that it would randomly capture a hummingbird visiting the hummingbird feeder in the background while another bird was at the Bird Buddy feeder. To my surprise and delight, today I succeeded! This first pic is a still shot of the hummingbird in the background. Next is the actual video where the hummingbird shows up. The next video is what I think might be our first baby bird visitor (song sparrow?) to the feeder. And the last is a pretty sunset to honor Earth Day today. šŸ„° #itsthelittlethings by @erintaylor_ma
After the winter we had, THIS is a welcome sight! I knew it was a long winter. I knew it was a cold winter. It was crazy how the ice and snow stuck around for over a month after the big storm in January. But it wasnā€™t until the past two weeks that I realized just how challenging this winter was. I bundled up and got outside almost every day to walk our dog, even in the deep freeze of January. So I donā€™t think it affected me quite as much. But I see such a lightness in my clients, friends and family, just over the past two weeks as the weather has warmed up and the light has stayed around longer. Now that we are past the winter, I see just how much it affected so many. And I am feeling really grateful that warmer, longer days are here. I love all the seasons, and I love the possibilities that spring brings - new growth, new opportunities, new beginnings. Just look at what nature is busy doing right now. Itā€™s a great time to be alive! šŸŒŗ by @erintaylor_ma
Spring has sprung! šŸ’šŸŒ·šŸŒŗ by @erintaylor_ma
This was the match I have waited for all season, with excitementā€¦and dread. Bradyā€™s final match of his freshman season at Kingā€™s was againstā€¦Noahā€™s former team Wilkes! These teams have historically been arch rivals, and my loyalties are split! I could almost imagine how Mama Kelce felt watching Jason and Travis play each other in the SuperBowl. In fact, we had to sit right in the middle of the stands near the net. I wished I had a shirt split down the middle with both teams just like she did. Instead, I decided to wear our Brady Bunch t-shirt from his senior night last year in high school. It almost went to five sets, but Wilkes pulled out their first ever win against Kings! I wanted this match to last forever. It was so fun sitting there with Jay and Noah watching Brady play, remembering all the matches we watched Noah play just down the street. It was great to catch up with dear friends from Wilkes, see some of Noahā€™s former teammates and families whom I adore, and connect with his former coaches whom I also adore. And a bonus was that when we stopped for gas on the way home with Brady and Alexis, we got to see the Mystery Machine! What a wonderful day! by @erintaylor_ma
The world is a bit crazy right now, isnā€™t it? In addition to the onslaught of stressful news, we are being bombarded from all sides with information and stimulation - breaking news, dings, beeps, buzzes, clicks. Itā€™s nonstop and exhausting and can make us stressed and dysregulated. Iā€™m seeing it everywhere, from people I know in my personal life to the parents with whom I work. And Iā€™m feeling it too. One of the things I find so incredibly calming and regulating is nature. We are so blessed to have this wonderful walking path literally behind our back yard. We took a long stroll back there yesterday evening. I was mindful to listen to the quietness in the neighborhood (no lawnmowers or weed whackers), the birds chirping, to feel the cool, crisp, early spring air, to listen to the sound of grass and rocks crunching under my shoes, to smell the damp, fresh dirt smell of early spring. I breathed it in and tried to allow all of the stimulation of nature to come into my body rather than the stimulation of my phone or the tv. And it was heavenly. When we got back, I felt restored, relaxed and refreshed. If you have been feeling frazzled lately, I would highly recommend getting yourself out into nature asap. It will work wonders for you. šŸ„°šŸŒ³šŸ¦œā˜€ļø by @erintaylor_ma
As always, SO much fun watching @b.taylor.26 and teammates earn a clean sweep of Widenerā€™s menā€™s team! And a cool story for the last photo here. We were delighted to see old college friends, Melanie and Eric. Before they were friends, they each coached Jay when he played at Drexel! First, Melanie taught him how to play the sport, and when she ended her coaching stint with the team, Eric took over and coached him. Eventually, Cupid shot its arrow and Melanie and Eric got married. Their son and daughter play volleyball just like our three kids. A few years ago, worlds collided again when our son Noah played on their son Quinbyā€™s club team that they coached! Itā€™s been cool growing up with them as players/coaches, and then watching all of our kids grow up as players and now coaches. What a wild, crazy, fun ride life is! by @erintaylor_ma
