Hey there, EpiscoPals! Did you know that 2026 marks the centennial of Episcopal summer camp ministry in Wisconsin?

The first “Young People’s Camp Conference” was held June 25-27, 1926 on Nepco Lake, just outside of Wisconsin Rapids. We rang in the 100th anniversary with EpiscoWisco campers at Imago Dei Village!

Our 2026 camp shirt was designed by Annahleah, one of our fabulous campers, and it captures many of the best parts of the camp experience.

In celebration of this incredible milestone, camp will be a present theme of the 179th Annual Diocesan Convention for Episcopal Diocese of Wisconsin this weekend in Stevens Point! Everyone is invited to wear their favorite camp shirt and/or merch on Friday!

Don’t have a camp shirt and would like to purchase one (or more) to support our ministry? Looking for fun gifts for the summer camp enthusiast in your life? Make sure to visit Jorden, Jess, and other camp friends at the merch table! All proceeds from sales will go right back into supporting Episcopal youth & campers in Wisconsin!

Limited quantities of the 2025 EpiscoWisco Camp shirt AND youth-sized Waypost Camp shirts (original host site for EpiscoWisco) will also be available.

We want to hear from all y’all: What have been some of YOUR favorite moments of camp joy?

As we head in to the last 20 hours of our Senior Camp week, we’d like to highlight an incredible partnership that has enriched our community for two years running.

@episcowiscocamp started a new partnership with KARIBU Ministries in 2025, a ministry that builds bridges across Anglican jurisdictions through a variety of avenues, including clergy exchanges, such as the current KARIBU US-5 Mission.

Our Senior campers and staff were thrilled to welcome and host Rev. Can. Dr. Martin Olando Wesonga, Principal for the ACK Bishop Hannington Institute of Theology, Mombasa/Kenyan Trustee for KARIBU Ministries. From dancing to singing to worship to teaching to gaga ball and beyond, Canon Martin was a beloved guest! (video of “Jehova (Oklo)” closing out our Eucharist service Wednesday evening)

We were also thrilled to share lunch and fellowship today with the Rt. Rev. Dr. Alphonce Mwaro Baya, Bishop, ACK Diocese of Mombasa, as well as Fr. Rob Davis, Rector at St. Boniface Episcopal, Mequon and CEO/U.S. Trustee for KARIBU! Bishop Baya and Fr. Rob will join us for a few more days during Middler Camp.

Neèma ya Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo na pendo la mwenyezi Mungu. Na ushirika wa Roho mtakatifu Uwe nasi sote sasa hata milele.

(Translation: And may the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore.) Graduation, part 2/2. Eldest Youngling got to join classmates in revisiting their old stomping grounds at their elementary school before taking the stage one last time as an AWHS student. The other Younglings and I couldn’t be prouder if we tried. Well done, @jords2603 & friends, and congratulations to the #ClassOf2026!!! 🎓👩🏼‍🎓 #VitaminC #graduation #throwbackthursday

Huge thanks to Brian Stahl for capturing some amazing photos of Jorden last night, and cheers to both Brian and Sue Stahl for their incredible hospitality in caring for the crew!! by @erinwolf87

Graduation 1 of 2 complete. The final countdown to next Wednesday has begun.

The eldest of the Younglings quartet, is now graduated from Renaissance School for the Arts!!

6. Cap, gown, cord, and tassels waiting for next week’s final commencement at AWHS!

It’s wild to think back to the beginning and remember how uncertain things were in those first two weeks of J’s preemie start. But today, the kid brought the house down (and tears to many in the audience) singing her heart out. An absolute powerhouse of a voice that leaves no doubt about the hard it took to get to today.

J, we are so bonkers proud of you and can’t wait to see where you’ll go next! We love you to the moon and back!!! 🎓👩🏼‍🎓 #classof2026

#REPOST @episcopalccc - Deacons & Priests & a Bishop, oh my!
Our final All Stars of Camp Week 2026 are the incredible chaplains at EpiscoWisco Camp🌟🏕️

“We are so blessed to have many camp-loving clergy at EpiscoWisco Camp (and in DIOWIS)! Our chaplains, who are all volunteers, are actively involved in helping with the planning of camper sessions for both teach times and liturgies. They are excellent at helping foster an environment of curiosity, wonder, and helping connect ancient texts to modern day, while also highlighting how we can live out our faith at camp and when we go home.

Our campers genuinely enjoy serving alongside the chaplains in several elements of daily Eucharist and prayer, which helps build confidence and provides a sense of ownership in campers’ faith lives that is unique to the camp experience. Outside of worship, our chaplains love to join campers and the rest of the staff for games, crafts, waterfront time, hikes, birding, pastoral care check-ins and more!”

[Image ID: A six-photo collage of the chaplains at EpiscoWisco. They are all in a wooden chapel or dining hall, mostly praying or teaching campers. All of them are wearing camp clothes - tshirts with shorts or pants - under their stoles, if they are wearing stoles. One deacon is also wearing a Darth Vader helmet. Above the photo, it says, “Camp All-Star, Camp Chaplains, EpiscoWisco Camp” On the border of the image are colorful stars. End image ID] w @download_repost_pro by @erinwolf87

From one of our amazing friends at @episcowiscocamp!!

#REPOST @episcopalccc - “I’m grateful for the increased housing accommodations and commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community for both campers and adults. It meant a lot to be able to come to camp as my full self and not have to hide any part of me in a churchy space.”

This freedom is so special and so valuable. Everyone should feel like their full self belongs at camp 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏕️

[Image ID: A speech bubble, labeled “Quotes!” that says, “It meant a lot to be able to come to camp as my full self and not have to hide any part of me in a churchy space.” The quote is from an LGBTQ+ camper parent and new staffer. #REPOST @episcopalccc - The glory and intensity of Ultimate Frisbee combined with the squeals of a rubber chicken: these are the epic tales of Ultimate Ultimate at EpiscoWisco Camp

“It’s a long-standing tradition that when Bishop Matt visits the teens of Senior Camp at EpiscoWisco, field games will soon follow. While he & the campers love traditional game of Ultimate Frisbee, the unconventional Ultimate Ultimate has become a staple, wherein frisbees take a backseat to rubber chickens, sharks, balloons, footballs, dodgeballs, and more. If you can (safely) throw & catch it, we’ll add it!

Disclaimer: No bishops, staff, or campers were injured or maimed in the creation or playing of ‘Ultimate Ultimate’... yet. Thank you to Nurse Chris and her crafty non-playing crew for keeping us safe and well hydrated!”

[Image ID: Bishop Matt, wearing a backwards cap and standing in the middle of a games field, about to throw a frisbee to a camper while being guarded by two camp staff. Other campers are running across the image. The photo is labeled, “Camp Highlight: Ultimate Ultimate at EpiscoWisco Camp” The picture has a golden yellow highlight stripe behind it. #REPOST @episcopalccc - When asked what her camp experience has meant to her, EpiscoWisco (@episcowiscocamp) Camp Director Erin Wolf said,
“Camp is the most constant community I’ve ever known. Even now, 30 years after my first year as a camper, I’m still in awe at how Holy Spirit moves through these communities. In many ways, camp has changed over the years and has become a more loving, welcome, and inclusive space for all God’s beloved to share in. Yet, in other ways, there’s still a familiar cadence and rhythm that feels like home unlike anywhere else in the church. It is a blessing to share all these blessings with my own kids, as well as the campers, staff, and volunteers that continue to show up each year for another season together.”

How has your camp experience shaped you? Tell us in the comments below or in the What Does Camp Mean to You form in the site in our bio (under Camp Week 2026)!
