hello everyone, i first want to say thank you so much for everyone’s support over the last few weeks. the death of my father is the most difficult thing i’ve ever faced but i’ve had such amazing family and friends looking out for me. a special thanks to local 33 and to everyone who came to the service yesterday and made that day so beautiful and perfect.

i definitely inherited my dad’s tendencies for a long-winded speech; the original memorial i wrote out was too long for this caption (you can see it on the last slide, though). i just want everyone to know my dad was the absolute greatest, and if you ever met him, you were very lucky. i loved him so much and i miss him everyday. make sure you hug your family and your friends tight, because anything could happen that could take them away from you. and finally, for my dad, go dodgers!! 💙 by @erm.actuallyy

went to yosemite during memorial day weekend and only got overwhelmed once award 🥇 🎉

thank you, wrecks, for 14 years of cuddles, dinner dances, and being my best friend. you were the best dog our family could have asked for. you were the best boy and you were there for me through so much. i love you more than you know. say hi to dad for me <3

one year ago today, my life changed forever. this past year was undoubtedly one of the hardest years of my life. losing parents is something that will happen to all of us. i wish, so much, that none of my peers ever had to experience this; that i wouldn’t have to experience it again someday. you think you’re grown up, then all of a sudden you’re three years old and all you want is your dad, and he’s never coming back.
i have had to grow up so much in the past year. while it has been one of the hardest years of my life, it has also been one of the most transformative. i am not the same person i was a year ago. i’ve been though a version of hell and i came out stronger. i wish that i could show my dad how far i’ve come. i know he would’ve been so proud of me. i wish he was still here to teach me and to guide me. my dad was an amazing man; i can only hope that i’m growing up to be like him.
treasure your family and your parents. tell them you love them every day. never take the amazing people in your life for granted, and never doubt the effect that you can have on other people. i hope you all get to enjoy years and decades with your parents. and i hope i can continue to honor and remember my dad in a way that would make him proud. i love you, dad. keep watching over us 💙 by @erm.actuallyy
