25 years ago, we stepped into the Mists of Gaia. A legacy that refuses to fade. 🏰Holding the highest Metacritic score in the franchise’s history, Final Fantasy IX was the ultimate love letter to the golden age of JRPGs. After the massive sci-fi success of the PS1 era, Hironobu Sakaguchi and the team at Square took us back to the roots of classic fantasy, trading megacities and gunblades for castles, airships, and Black Mages.But beneath the whimsical art style lay a brutal deconstruction of identity, mortality, and honor. “You don’t need a reason to help people.” This ragtag found family delivered a profoundly heartbreaking narrative and arguably the greatest character arc in gaming history, yes, Vivi Ornitier’s.Mechanically, it was a triumph. [Review Remastered] Persona 3 Reload was a very welcomed remake for that one entry which brought Persona to the new age we know it as today! 🌙We break down the game’s thematic brilliance, addictive Social Links, and the revamped, fast-paced combat. While most of the things it presents remain an industry gold standard, the repetitive Tartarus dungeon crawling might test your patience. After almost 15 years, the journey through Rieze Maxia is back. Does it still hold up? Absolutely.We’re diving deep into the return of Jude and Milla. While the game is admittedly a slow burn with some dated, empty field designs, the payoff is massive once the second act hits. The Link Arte system remains an absolute peak mechanic for the franchise as it keeps the combat incredibly addictive from start to finish.Add in some excellent quality-of-life updates and a genuinely hilarious cast that you can’t help but love, and this remaster proves itself as a must-have for both die-hard fans and newcomers.Who is the best character in the cast? 30 years ago, we jumped through a painting and collected our first Super Star. 🌟 Serving as the ultimate blueprint for 3D platformers, Super Mario 64 completely rewrote the rulebook for the industry. After decades of 2D side-scrolling, Shigeru Miyamoto and the team at Nintendo gave us unprecedented freedom in game exploration, trading flat sprites and linear paths for analog controls, rotating camera, and sprawling 3D worlds.It was a mechanical triumph.
