Meeting the broadway legend Lea Salonga by Shannon and Ted Skokos stage with Larry Yurman was a dream come true! I showed her photo of my parents and greeted them advance happy birthday. She shared to us on this VIP experience her thoughts on how she is surviving in the industry and amazing advice. DreamWorks’ “Forgotten Island” is still showing reminding us of Filipino culture, mythology and how powerful our memories can be.

Jeepney, Manananggal, Dwende, datu, kapre, videoke, hesukristo, lechon, lola, tricycle, lumpia, buko/buko juice, manang, island similar to Palawan, salamat po, Tayo na, tinikling, mga kakabayan ko song by late Francis M, and a lot more…

I also saw on credits Nurse john nurse as voice for Tinikling Tito; Billy Crawford as Bungi in French version; Lea Salonga as Manananggal/Manang and Jokoy as Datu/Kapre whom I both met before.

The ground-shaking portal and key to the magical island of Nakali are shaped like the iconic eight-rayed sun from the Philippine flag. #theforgottenisland #ForgottenIsland

6/26 Friday: I had a great night and conversation when I finally met (with autograph and handshake) half-Filipino Lou Diamond Phillips who is an American actor, director, and writer who shot to international fame in 1987 for his breakthrough performance as the pioneering Chicano rock ‘n’ roll star Ritchie Valens in the biographical drama La Bamba.He actually spoke some Tagalog to me which is quite impressive.

My first time here in Santiago, Chile. Upon landing here in Arturo Merino Benitez international airport with United airlines, I passed through passport control and they stamped my passport with chile arrival. Then, I claimed my carry on luggage at carousel 3. Then, I sat in one of the benches and was approached by an officer with his detector K-9 dog and it detected I had fruits in my luggage which are 2 bananas. They didn’t want passengers to stay too long at baggage claim area. There are money changer machines which don’t charge 5% commission Then, I filled out the declaration form and proceeded to exit and had picture at big chile sign with the picture of my parents. Next to it are taxi operators searching for passengers. by @ernestoexplores
