** HIKING UP TO THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN **

In the summer of 2022, my family and I visited the West Coast for my niece’s graduation trip. My sister planned out the whole thing and one of the things that we did was a hike up to the Hollywood sign and from this story, you can tell that it was an adventure especially for yours truly.

I got the chance to check out the @samasamaart pop up market “Art After Dark” at the Arts & Industries Building of the Smithsonian Castle with @wanderwithpandalove. It was a fun pop up market for the weekend, but there’s a funny story about what happened there.

** SMITHSONIAN DREAMS **

Created by Turkish American artist Refik Anadol, the Smithsonian presented an illumination show on the facade of the Smithsonian Castle on the National Mall in Washington DC. The 10 minute projection show uses AI to create a program that reimagines nearly two centuries of Smithsonian collections and research. Drawing from the various pieces of history collected throughout the years of Smithsonian research, the castle is a canvas of color & wonder as the team at Refik Anadol Studio produced this visual experience for all of us to enjoy.

It was a magnificent show that was only on eight times in the span of two days. I was lucky enough to catch a couple of shows and I’ve been able to edit together. It is on YouTube and you can click on the link in my bio to see the full show.

I went to see the World Cup Final at the FIFA Fan Zone in Washington DC. I had a blast watching Spain defeat Argentina 1-0 in Extra Time. It was part of an unforgettable summer so far.
