Our new self-titled duo record is out today!!
This record has come together over the last year or so, and is the product of our 15 years of friendship and collaboration. We recorded this music in a very natural way - together, live, with no strict plan or formula, and instead, letting experimentation and intuition lead us through these long medleys of tunes. The sessions took place over a few months, at both of our homes, and always began with a meal. We’re so excited to finally have this music out and ready for you to hear it. Today just happens to be Bandcamp Friday, so there’s no better day to go buy a CD or a digital download if you wish. Thanks for listening <3

Longtime friends and collaborators River Scheuerell & Eros Faulk have been playing together in various forms since childhood. After creating captivating performances with unique and dynamic arrangements as members of the REDS, they now bring their energy and expertise to the world of contemporary traditional music. Together and separately, the pair have performed extensively across the PNW and beyond, appearing alongside some of the most renowned names in traditional music today - Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas, Darol Anger, Rushad Eggleston, Caleb Klauder & Reeb Willms, Kalos, John Whelan, We Banjo 3, to name a few.

Brahim has been living in Olympia since 2014. He grew up in Morocco immersed in Gnawa culture and popular music of the region, and researched the connection between American blues and Moroccan Gnawa music as part of his ethnomusicology program at The Evergreen State College. He has produced an album, called Jabaryu, featuring Gnawa master Fettah Remouz. Brahim is also a co-founder and songwriter for the Olympia-based Gnawa jazz rock band, The Beehees. by @erosfaulk

Sooo stoked to share this - The Beehees’ new record “Sawt Leel” is one of the coolest records I’ve gotten to work on, and I was honored to have gotten to master it. This band blows my mind with all of the insanely cool stuff they’re doing, the life and the groove in these recordings is strong and contagious (sound on!!) Hit their Bandcamp now!!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to our Portland show last week @atlantispdx ! We were so stoked to be joined by the incredible @simon___leone who absolutely killed it with his set. That concludes our January run of album release shows! We really appreciate everyone who’s come to support us and this project, if you didn’t get a CD at a show they are still available on our Bandcamp! We can’t wait to get back at it with some more shows soooon 🎻🎻
