🦸‍♀️🩸 superwoman moment

As an aspiring healthcare professional, I’ve always wanted to give an ounce of my blood, but my crazy uterus always acts up on time. It always says no, iykyk. Haha!

Today, in this little way, I hope I could help save lives. As the saying goes, “Some heroes wear capes; real heroes donate blood.” I pray that God may extend the life of whomever is the recipient of my blood. I am grateful that I was part of this blood donation activity that grants others a longer life so that they may still enjoy life with their loved ones.

It’s true what the donors say about the pain. “Kagat lang ng langgam.” Hahaha! Ano bang bago? But yes, based on my experience, the capillary puncture and the removal of the micropore (as a mabalbon) hurt more than the bloodletting itself, given that it’s not a normal-sized needle that we have for vaccinations. by @errinpamela

💇🏻‍♀️ cut my quarantine hair with a purpose

Due to the yearlong lockdown, many unexpectedly got longer hair (even guys). No one can go out; barbershops and salons closed. But there’s a good thing! We can donate our hair while staying inside our homes. Thanks to @kytheateneo and @headsbyvolumed_manila for making it possible.

I have no doubts about having my crowning glory this short. Though some say I look boyish, and my hair is sayang, I am happy that I have shared my 13" hair with the kids.

Hope to give again in the next years. Because there’s one thing I know for sure. This may be a small piece from me, but I believe this will give the children great smiles.

Thank you for allowing me to contribute to your initiative. I can now call myself a third-time hair donor.
