Happy 30th Birthday to this song, one which has taken me on a journey around the world, seeing so many places and meeting so many amazing faces. It turns out, I wasn’t Searching after all, I found it along the way! #OneLove ❤️💛💚 by @errolreid

THE UNGUARDED DAY | UKAT SIXTH FORM
ukatsixthform

This Friday, we’re bringing The Unguarded Method into UKAT Sixth Form for a day built around one simple idea:

Helping young people understand themselves better, build practical tools for life, and feel more confident about the person they are becoming.

Across the day, students will move through four interactive workshops:

BREATHE with James O’Keefe @jamesokeefenrg
Creating space, managing pressure and choosing your response.

THINK with Chris Wimshurst @bearwolf_coaching
Understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings and actions, and how the brain can change through what we repeatedly practise.

OWN IT with Zoe Bennett BEM @zoe_bennett_motivational_queen
Knowing your value, using your voice and having the confidence to put yourself forward.

BELONG with Errol Reid @errolreid
Exploring identity, connection, curiosity and understanding that you do not have to fit into one box.

Each workshop brings a different story, perspective and set of practical tools, but they all connect back to the same wider message.

You cannot control everything that happens around you.

But you can become more aware of yourself, create space, make choices and decide how you want to show up.

Really proud to be delivering this in collaboration with UKAT Sixth Form, and incredibly excited about the team we have bringing it to life.

Swipe through to meet the facilitators and discover what each workshop will explore.

Sometimes you've just got to go and do stuff by yourself. Soultasia festival was perfect for this. Not too big, family friendly and brilliant artists.

The weather was spot on, I didn't queue once (toilet, bar or food) and a great time was had.

Know that If you're ever looking for me, I'll be at the front. Fine until I needed to navigate the 10-deep ring of camping chairs and picnic blankets - that really wasn't for the weak-kneed.

Also - I'm going to say it out loud but no part of your foot should really be out of doors at a festival - It is barren land out there and your trotters will make you look like you're one of the disciples! Don't get me started on heels and cowboy boots 🙄

A festival must count as a mode of cardio because nearly 43k steps in a day?!

And when the boy not only comes to pick you up at the end of the night but brings a snack bag too - he's definitely a keeper 🫶🏾

Definitely one to return to next year 😊
