📣SOUND CHECK 📣 Been exploring rasterisation in circular forms lately. Nothing entirely new—huge inspiration from @burnier and @posterkraft —but i was curious to explore technique for myself.

Worked with @cavalry.app this time and tried pushing a few different techniques across these animations. Also experimented with using sound to drive motion for the first time… definitely feels like I’ve been missing out. That rabbit hole goes deep—especially when you start thinking about motion driving sound back, or adding a new spatial layer altogether.

Reading @flexiblevisualsystems have been insightful made me realise—simple systems can be the most powerful.

Hello! Not been active on this account much these past few months, & for lack of the better reason, I’d just put this one on myself - I strayed from the path or nothing didn’t feel quite there always. Still isn’t.

But a little echo out - it is not an endless loop but & infact upward spiral. Keep pushing.

On a technical note - the T is for tizzy, S is for Sharon. apart from that nothing technical I can explain that you won’t find reading through @antonin.work comments & asking dumb question’s or just looking @mariodemeyer work & just be so awe inspired you ought to try to get at-least a 50% of that output, only to realise in hindsight the boundary has been pushed already.

Some ongoing studies in type & physics.
Exploring new systems and treatments is a big part of what we do at PK. Inspiration often comes from the world around us—in this case: physics, gravity, acceleration, velocity, and all that good stuff.

DOMi & JD BECK - NOT TiGHT

Perhaps the most ironic yet apt name ever given to an album, cause this is the tightest album I’ve ever heard in jazz -

so I’ve been following these guys for a couple a years & saw them in ‘sport’s allegory’- “go pro”.

For days I’ve looped to their Instagram, but only cause I had no other way to listen to their sound which was until they dropped an album coupla years back, it became absolutely imperative that I have to make a poster for them!!

So @ecal_graphic_design conducted this really cool exercise. For generating poster artefacts for @calpoly Richard Neutra awards for excellence.

I though it would be compelling study subject, to show the power of procedural generation & the plethora iterations one can create by just simple tweaks. The possibilities are obviously endless, with generative typographic systems & here’s my iteration for the same.

I would’ve liked to done it in @processing_core but I also felt, I’ve to use less 🧠 in @cavalry.app to achieve similar results & some few “happy accidents”

Wings At The Speed Of Sound - Loosing myself in the generative workflow, i forgot what I’ve been truly missing is just to make some fun manual type & in that I finally found some retribution, thanks @iqbal_oberoi for being the catalyst.

I tried to expand this into a record vinyl package as well :) & even went as far to print it. It looks beautiful on my wall.

I thought, maybe I should just post it, cause in my head if I don’t get done with this, I won’t post all mesmerising work I’ve found myself doing…so yeh here’s to getting done with it!

shoutout to @tim_rodenbroeker for his lesson on procedural randomisation & then my later discovery of embedding custom easing functions led to this.
I tried to build upon the foundation that Tim provided. By adding some sliders that control the easing between - quadratic, cubic, quintic & so on!

Quick export then put through a custom dithering shader I on cavalry & another quick export

Causal Factor //

“A is the cause & B is the effect” or “B is the cause & A is the effect”.

So the presence of B implies the existence of A

& if A is the sufficient cause of B does it, does the presence of A implies the subsequence occurrence of B? However if C may alternative cause B. Maybe the presence of B does not imply the prior occurrence of A

Does the cause lie in the future or does it lie in the past?

What does it mean to have agency or efficacy? Is cause directional to the effect? Or perhaps cause is a more dynamic effect, while the effect is an enduring object or a permanent state.

In the deterministic world view the universe is by product of many such causes & effect, & if such is the case, is there any room for free will?

The rabbit hole goes so deep.
