Nella Local Board di ERUA ad UniMC, facciamo tutti il nostro meglio, nelle nostre capacità, per far sentire la voce di tutti gli studenti — anche a livello europeo! — e crescere insieme, non solo lavorando, ma anche con attività divertenti e conoscendoci meglio l'un l'altro.

On 8th October, in celebration of the initiative by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries: European Maritime Day 2026 - Satellite Event in My Country, students from ULPGC and UAEGEAN part of ERUA’s Blue Commission are organising the conference “Diving Into Blue Horizon”. ERUA Book Club „Reading Across Borders“ (EURAB). We are meeting up this time to talk about The Pull of The Stars by Emma Donoghue.

Take part in another evening of literature, meaningful conversations, and cultural exchange as we create space for dialogue, reflection, and exchange through literature.

Together, we’ll explore stories that spark discussion, broaden perspectives, and connect students from across the ERUA Alliance through the shared experience of reading.

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of welcoming 96 incoming international students to @ unimc @unimc
They come from universities across Europe and beyond: 76 from European institutions (including several from fellow member universities of the European Reform University Alliance, @we_are_erua ) and 20 from China, Brazil, Japan and the United States.
They will study across all our Departments. Meeting them, I was immediately struck by what a special and highly motivated group they are. I am certain they will bring fresh energy and new ideas to our university community.
As the Erasmus programme approaches its 40th anniversary, we should remember just how transformative student mobility has been. Studying abroad opens minds, challenges assumptions and creates friendships that cross national and cultural boundaries. I cannot think of a more effective form of cultural diplomacy among younger generations — built not by institutions alone, but through everyday encounters, shared experiences and mutual understanding.
To all our incoming students: welcome to UniMC and welcome to Macerata. For this academic year (and maybe beyond), this is your university and your city. Study hard, enjoy, and make the most of this great opportunity!
