So I think Tasha Suri is the absolute best. Every one of her books has been a 6⭐️ read. If you want lush amazing writing with compelling characters that has so much yearning, pick up any of her books. I wish Empire was more popular because it’s truly so phenomenal!!!! If you haven’t read any of her books please change that immediately!!!

This book was so heartbreaking beautiful and I genuinely think everyone should read it!!!!

I’ve read two things by Alix E. Harrow and I genuinely would read this author’s grocery list.

||summary||
In 1893, there’s no such thing as witches. There used to be, in the wild, dark days before the burnings began, but now witching is nothing but tidy charms and nursery rhymes. If the modern woman wants any measure of power, she must find it at the ballot box.

I loved this book so much!! Like this is what people mean when they say enemies to lovers. The characters and world building are truly all top notch. It’s definitely a hype book but it deserves all of its hype. I have a full review on Pagebound/Storygraph/Fable feel free to follow me.

So I love Arden’s writing. The Winternight Trilogy is one of my favorite series of all time. I truly think The Winter Of The Witch is the best finale ever. Back to Warm Hands of Ghosts. I think she is a master of historical fantasy! I love that you follow siblings searching for each other through WWI. Sibling stories are so compelling to me. Honestly if you wanna get fully transported into the book you are reading pick up anything by Arden.

I love Tasha Suri and all her books. Her yearning is the best I have ever read. She builds worlds that are brimming with politics, magic and so much life. She writes such complex and compelling characters. The plots will have you engaged from the first sentence. If you take any recommendations from my page please let it be a Tasha Suri book.

So I loved this book. It is definitely a new favorite and a major contender for my favorite of the year. It has everything I love in books. We follow complex, and compelling characters. The magic system is based on sins that actually manifest as a blood rot that kills you over time. It even shows itself on your skin. This is for the bisexual religious trauma girlies. Even the intimate scene are so well done and I found myself looking forward to them. This just worked immaculately for me. Please read this book. I also love the beautiful @allurialbooks edition.

I love everything Tasha Suri has ever written. Her prose is beautiful, her world building is immaculate, and her characters are so compelling. This woman writes yearning the way it’s supposed to be written. She has also written such lush and wonderful magic systems. Honestly if it has her name on it, I’m buying it.

So it was my turn to pick the book for our buddy read and I figured since the adaptation comes out this month, this would be a perfect pick. It should be a quick and fun read. The movie also looks very fun.
