Photographic shoutout to my friend @christophegsell, a chef who makes amazing pastries, breads, and desserts, inspired by traditional French recipes. I only regret not taking photos of all his creations sooner. (And I wish there was a Tasteagram app for you to sample this.) ...If you’re anywhere near Frankfort, IL, check out https://www.patisseriechristophe.com by @erynlevis

A “palm warbler torpedo” (name courtesy of my friend @jonny.becks who is always ready with so much bird trivia… he’s practically my chatGPT for birds. 😉)

Saw this cute little bird while spending time with @fersirvent79 and others back in April.

Virgin’s Bower (Clematis virginiana) against a background of colors reflected off the @chicagobotanic exhibit called “Shimmering Summer” — a massive interactive sculpture installation named “Evanescent” by the Australian design duo @ateliersisu

To me, the image reminds me of the trees in The Lorax. 😊

Photo taken about a month ago at an awesome gathering of people, led by @nick.sinnott and @lolamontezphotography of @chicagophotoclasses to benefit the amazing organization @freshlenschicago

Finally looking through photos from the outing: 1 photo down… only about 2000 more to go through. 🤣 Hopefully I’ll find a few gems! taken in Chicago Botanic Garden by @erynlevis

Macro photography has a way of revealing secret little worlds. Here, droplets suspended on nearly invisible strands of web seem to float in midair, each one catching its own tiny reflection.
Take a moment to browse the impressive range of subjects in her gallery. Erin has a great eye for light and for finding the special moments in the details

@chicagophotoclasses #cpcwesharewednesday theme of minimalism. The first version here is the one I edited most recently, inspired by @alanshapiro515 who taught me that I can edit to my emotions and evoke whatever mood I want. (The second version was my original edit, which tried to duplicate what I saw on that incredibly foggy day. I still really like it, but I don’t feel as constrained by it any more.)

They are much more serene in the water. I prefer them there. 😉

Come see “The Collective Focus” exhibition @chicagophotoclasses ! The opening is during the Ravenswood Art Walk (but outside of it, so you don’t have to pay to get in). I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s photos. 🥰 Thank you to @deniseorlin for curating another great show! taken in Richard Stromberg Chicago Photography Classes by @erynlevis
