I'm disabled. Crafts & painting along w/ coloring have been an outlet for me. As a child I ❤️ to draw & regret stopping, so I'm picking the pencil up.

I may have gotten a bit carried away with making scenes for out Target Birds. This was the catalyst. #targetbirds #christmasdecor by @erynmel

It's Christmas Eve and some birds still need to get presents wrapped. Good thing Theo is at the gift wrapping station.

Lessons learned while following along with Unmasked Artist's work:
1. Paper matters!!!
My 120gsm sketchbook paper is too flimsy for all the layers of suttle tones needed in the hand.
2. Create line art from my pencil sketch instead of erasing pencil shadows and coloring over it.
3. Know when to move on!
Though I'm finishing the project, I'm calling it quits on the hand before I remove more of the paper.

Joined & drawn during #charsartclass this morning. Finished up this afternoon. #inmystudio which is actually a portable computer / bed tray table full of the detritus from the past few days projects, along with a coloring book, prismacolor swatch sheet I did yesterday, and an old tissue box containing some tools I used. Plus my tablet and phone (complete with charger and my trusty green extension cord)! by @erynmel
