Part 6 of my #longtravel install (and by far my most anticipated) has been assembly!

If there’s one moment I’ve been looking forward to for the past several weeks, it’s finally bolting up all of the shiny new parts. Stepping back to see the new widened stance, extended control arms, beefy spindles, @kingshocks , bump stops, steering rack, - the build has come together better in reality than it did in my head and it’s been immensely rewarding.

This part is also a great reminder that @allprooffroad MLT isn’t just a long travel kit, but also addresses the other major weak points when building a serious Tacoma, like radically upgrading the steering and cooling capabilities.

There’s lots of things left to tie up, like the extended @longfielddrivetrain axles and @eastcoastgearsupply built differentials (who sent out my @arb4x4usa twin compressor just in time to arrive at the end of the video) but it feels great to be at this stage, and the build is only going to get better from here!

Rizzo mentioned that the comp car needed more cfm and the fans/shroud needed to be re worked because you can’t hot lap the car … SO I had to make a shroud with all the sauce . The new fans move 2,400 cfm each .

•When a good homie asks you to fly across the country to help install his new long travel kit you gotta go!
• @modify.it texted me awhile back saying he was thinking of buying this kit , but he was nervous on welding it . I replied back buy me a plane ticket and I’ll weld it , a few weeks later I was in Colorado doing exactly that .
• It’s a @allprooffroad MLT kit for anyone wondering

More cab progress , spent last week making the cowl vent mounting location from scratch as no one makes a replacement panel . Entire panel was formed from 18g cold rolled sheet
Formed on my @mittlerbros planishing hammer
Welded with my @millerwelders dynasty

Current project is correcting all sheet metal issues with this 52 f100 cab . Started with the top of the windshield as it was previously “patched” not to the standard I like .

Starting to really understand the love everyone has for E chassis’s . Even doe I bought the worst one . Listening to the advice from pros especially @chelseadenofa on how to set one of these up was the move. For the second time on track the car killed it , couple more upgrades and next outing it’ll be even better #e36 #e36bestcar #compact
