Don't take our word for it! From VOGUE's beauty editors, "A hand sanitizer with 70% alcohol that kills germs and bacteria, smells great, and doesn't dry out your hands? It does indeed exist." Thank you @vogue for helping us spread the word! ⠀

Hearing from customers who rediscover the joy of wearing fragrance through ESAS is what drives us. Many who once wore perfume daily stopped due to chemicals and concerns—but when they find our bold, refined, non-toxic scents, it’s a welcome return to something they love.

Knowing we’re part of that experience is what we live for 🤍 by @esasnyc

Smell with us! Sometimes when we’re evaluating fragrance, the most useful language isn’t technically perfume language at all. It’s just the word that best describes what your nose is experiencing.

Today, that word was “clogged.”

Think about smelling a flower from top to bottom. The petals can smell light and effervescent. As you get closer to the center, you might get something sweeter or more nectar-like, maybe honeyed or fruity.

Then move down to the stem and leaves. That’s where you start to smell the greener side of the flower. A freshly cut stem can smell watery, sappy and vegetal. And if you’ve ever smelled the stems of flowers that have been sitting in water for a while, you know that smell gets denser. It’s humid, a little earthy and very “stemmy.”

That’s what we meant by clogged.

Once the brighter top notes faded, the middle of this fragrance felt thick with that green, stemmy quality. Instead of continuing to open up, it felt like the fragrance got stuck there. Almost stagnant.

Smell can create a physical sensation, too. Think about how peppermint makes your nose feel cool. This was a completely different sensation, but the idea is similar. There was something about this particular green note that made the fragrance feel thick and humid in the nose.

“Clogged” isn’t a technical perfumery term. It was just the word that kept coming up as we smelled it, and somehow it described exactly what we were experiencing. by @esasnyc
