🏒🌟 Saturday’s fundraiser at the Oil Kings was an incredible success!
It was such a fun way to support the association while bringing the community together. Our team worked hard and managed to sell out ALL 300 mystery pucks, with a portion of the proceeds going directly towards the non profit.
ESCA volunteers really showed 🆙

Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and came by the booth to grab a hockey 🏒 puck.

A huge thank you to our members and volunteers who made time in their busy schedules to help!

Thank you, Edmonton. Thank you, Central America. 💙🤍

We’re still searching for the words to describe what we lived at our Central American Celebration. It was a day to honour our community, our roots, and everything we are, even when we’re far from home.

You danced, you sang, you shared the day with your families, and you felt at home. And at the end of the night, listening to Ligia Morales and watching Sangre Morena dance to the music we grew up with, so many of you left with tears in your eyes and a big smile. So did we. Seeing how much our culture means to each of you moved us deeply.

None of this would have been possible without so many incredible people:

As we celebrate Latin American Heritage Month in Canada 🇨🇦 we’re taking a look back at a very special day.

¡ALEGRÍA! was more than a celebration. It was a space where culture, community, music, food, art and traditions came together and where Latin American voices could be seen and heard.

And this October, we want to share those voices with you❤️

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing a series of videos featuring some of the amazing vendors who were part of ALEGRÍA. They’ll share who they are, what being part of ALEGRÍA meant to them, and why representation and celebrating Latin American culture is so important.

Because representation matters.

We’re still processing everything we experienced yesterday. ✨

It was a night filled with emotion, music, culture, community, and moments we’ll carry with us for a long time. We’ll be sharing more of what happened little by little, but today we wanted to pause and give this special photo its moment. ❤️

Central American Celebration was a beautiful reflection of everything that makes Central American culture so special: the joy of our people, our traditions, our songs, our music, and, of course, our food. 🇸🇻🇭🇳🇬🇹🇳🇮🇨🇷🇵🇦

A heartfelt thank you to ESCA Edmonton @esca_edmonton for allowing us to be part of this celebration and for creating a space where our roots could be shared, felt, and celebrated.
