Rose poussière, HYÈRES 39, villanoailles

Une matière mate, projetée, fibreuse, recouvre les objets d’une couche qui les uniformise. Hommage au roman éponyme de Jean-Jacques Schuhl, le décor du défilé est une atmosphère plus qu’un objet figé. Les couleurs disparaissent, les formes s’adoucissent, il n’y a nulle intensité, si ce n’est la rumeur sourde d’un monochrome rose.

DESIGN PARADE HYÈRES (2024)

On the occasion of the 18th edition of the Design Parade Hyères, MATTER and SHAPE presents a curation of former laureates inside the 19th century Villa Romaine from Thursday June 27th until Sunday June 30th, 2024.

The ephemeral installation echoes elements of the minimalist architecture proposed by Willo Perron for the 2024 edition of MATTER and SHAPE, a new design salon presented inside the Jardin des Tuileries from March 1 - 4, 2024.

Aligned with MATTER and SHAPE’s values of contemporary design driven by material prowess and innovation, aesthetic harmony and utility, the chosen pieces propose a bold and artistic vision for modern living. From domestic and outdoor furniture to portable lighting and decorative objets d’art, strict tableaus placed throughout the villa’s ground floor juxtapose its opulent murals and fixtures, creating a call-and-repeat between the industrial and the handmade.

Framing a dynamic snapshot of the landscape of French design today, MATTER and SHAPE at the Villa Romaine features pieces from the realms of both commercial product and collectible design — reflecting the salons cross-disciplinary approach.

Escampo is a refuge on the tip of the Giens peninsula that falls into the mediterranean sea.
There are so many places like this here in the south of France. They’ve shaped our childhoods, our futures and our friendship.
We, Marine and Victor, have decided to share them.

While our agency is inseparable from the places that unite us, it is above all the fruit of our common experiences.
Marine, who has specialized in event production and fashion shows for ten years, and Victor, producer and set designer
on numerous photo shoots, and skipper for ten years in luxury sailing in the Mediterranean.

Escampo is thus established under the sun of our experience and our values, with the aim of creating a production agency that is both local and of excellence, capable of
meeting all the challenges of events or content production. For us, this means taking care of our working environment, as well as respecting local resources, with a focus on
sustainability.
