One of my first permanent public art installations is now on display, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of bringing this vision to life.

As a member of the Leadership Hoover Class of 2026 Storytellers Team, I had the privilege of designing and creating The Story of Hoover—a mural installation that celebrates the city’s history, growth, and the people who make this community so special.

This project represents months of collaboration, creativity, and purpose. Knowing that thousands of residents and visitors will experience this artwork for years to come is both humbling and rewarding. As someone who believes design should tell a story and create lasting impact, this milestone means more than I can put into words.

If you’re visiting the Riverchase Galleria, stop by the second floor above the food court, near White Barn, and take a walk through The Story of Hoover. I’m honored to have left a small piece of my creative legacy in a city that has given so much to me.

Before there was AI, there was a graphic designer.

And even with AI, there still is.

Ran into my very first intern Jeffrey Byrd and his family today while my wife and I were out running errands… and man, it flooded me with memories. ‘09

Back then, I didn’t have all the answers—I was still figuring things out myself—but I was willing to share what I knew and pour into him as he stepped into the business world.

To see him now, doing well and walking in his own lane… that’s a different kind of joy.

Moments like this remind me—it’s bigger than business. It’s about impact, legacy, and helping the next person take that first step.
