Today on World Wildlife Day, we’re reminded that the ocean doesn’t belong to us, it belongs to them, too.💙🌎

Every year, sea turtles and other marine life become trapped in plastic pollution left behind in their home.

Thanks to organizations like @4ocean , thousands of pounds of plastic are removed from our oceans, giving wildlife a second chance.

🐋 Orca: As top ocean predators, orcas help keep marine food webs in balance. Protecting them helps keep our oceans healthy for every creature below them.

🐒 Golden-Headed Tamarin: Tamarins spread seeds through Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, one of the most threatened forests on Earth.

🐧 Puffin: Puffins rely on healthy fish populations, so when they thrive, it tells us the ocean is thriving too.

🦉 Eurasian Eagle-Owl: These owls keep rodent populations in check, which is natural pest control.

🐢 Sea Turtle: Green sea turtles graze seagrass beds and keep them healthy. Those beds are nurseries for countless fish.

🦏 Black Rhino: Rhinos shape the landscapes they live in, so protecting them protects entire savanna ecosystems.

🦥 Sloth: Sloths depend on unbroken forest canopy, so saving sloths means saving rainforests.

⭐ Starfish: Some sea stars are keystone species. They keep mussels and urchins in balance so reefs and kelp can flourish.

🐅 Tiger: Protecting tiger habitat also protects the forests and watersheds that millions of people depend on.

🦇 Mariana Fruit Bat: These bats pollinate and replant island forests by spreading seeds as they fly.

Extreme Dark Chocolate Squash Muffins🍫🍁

In a world of pumpkins, why not be squash 🍁 chocolate-filled squash spiced muffins (full recipe below!)

¾ cup dark brown sugar
½ cup coconut oil
2 eggs
2 cups of all-purpose flour, or 1 cup gf flour + 1 cup oat flour
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp of salt
½ tbsp cinnamon
½ tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp nutmeg
½ of a medium sized butternut squash, or a can of butternut squash puree
1 bar of Endangered Species extreme dark chocolate 🍫

Combine the first three ingredients and mix well. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients and stir.

Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, and stir to thoroughly combine.

Add squash, and mash to combine. Once mixture forms a smooth batter, pour into a lined or oiled muffin tin, filling each cup halfway.

Add one square of chocolate to each muffin, and cover with the remaining batter. Bake for 20 minutes.

Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Happy World Rhino Day! 🦏🩶

Today, we’re celebrating all five rhino species, the gentle giants who keep grasslands healthy for hundreds of other animals.

Here’s the hopeful part: the threats rhinos face are caused by people, so people can solve them too. Conservation partners around the world are doing exactly that, every day.

We’re proud to play a part. The black rhino is on our Hazelnut Toffee 72% dark chocolate bar, and a portion of our profits supports the people protecting species like it.

These chocolate caramel apples are the perfect healthier fall treat that stores in the fridge, ready for the in between moments when you need them the most!

Here’s what you’ll need:
🍏 4 apples, cut & dried
🍫 1 Endangered Species Extreme Dark chocolate bar, melted with 1 ½ tsp coconut oil
🍂 1 Endangered Species Caramel Milk chocolate bar, crumbled as a topping
🥜 Optional add-on toppings: granola, sea salt, chopped nuts, etc.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
