It’s a must for anyone visiting Israel.
A meaningful private tour in the western Negev meeting, seeing, feeling the heroes that defend the state of Israel, the locals that revive the region.
We know how to present Oct 7 to any age in ways that it will impact, and yet, still won’t include graphic explanations. taken in Gaza Border by @eschoonover

Esther Egozi Garazi 🤍

The light of our lives who lit up every room she walked into.

For 33 years, we shared a birthday and a name—a gift that I will cherish forever.

In ways, the days of her passing, burial, and shiva, were some of the most special days of my life. The family together, sending her off to dance & sing again with my Abuelo and Tia Lina, recounting our memories, and mourning yet celebrating her 94 years of life.

What an honor it has been to live life with her, to know her love, to dance and sing with her, and to be her granddaughter.

Abuela, Thank you for this life & this family. Our love for you is endless.

A very deep thank you to the outpouring of love we’ve received throughout the last few weeks. I cannot express how grateful my family is. We feel so loved.

♥️

I’m tired, I’m furious, I’m sad, I’m heartbroken.

Do you know what else I am?

A proud Jew, living in Israel, sitting at a cafe in Tel Aviv on a Friday morning, without fear, even after the horrors of yesterday and 3 buses being bombed close by last night. A proud Jew, who wants the best for the world, and to only bring light into it.

I’m everything they hate. And I will continue being just that.

May Shiri and the Bibas babies, Oded, and all of our beautiful souls be resting, together, with Hashem. And may we continue being everything Jihadists hate, in their honor. 🧡🧡🧡🧡 taken in Tel Aviv, Israel by @eschoonover

Two and a half years ago, I landed in Israel knowing fewer people than I could count on one hand. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing with my life, other than exploring the country for 2–3 months.

2 months turned into 6, followed by a lot of back and forth between Israel and Miami, until one day I was standing in my kitchen in Tel Aviv and had a moment of realization: I think I’m going to stay.

I never could have imagined what would unfold here—between Oct. 7, the hostages, Iranian attacks, missiles and sirens, the world’s perception of us and so on.

I also never could have imagined the life I would build here— filled with such richness, a zest for life, and the most beautiful people. A blessing I never knew I needed.

When I thought about how I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I knew it was under the stars, in the desert, with people I love. We spent Shabbat in the heart of Mitzpe Ramon, and it was more special than I could have ever imagined.

If 33 is anything like our time in the desert, I’ll be one happy girl. May we see a bright(er) year— for me, for you, and for the whole entire world. ❤️ taken in Mitzpe Ramon - מצפה רמון by @eschoonover

I will never stop talking about October 7th.

There are so many reasons why, but for one, because every single woman who was raped and murdered that day deserves to be heard through our voices.

@screamsbeforesilence is one of the most important pieces of content about October 7th that publically exists right now.

With the exception of those who have been victims of sexual violence or those who are still living the trauma of October 7th, I believe every single adult in the world who has uttered even one word about this war has a duty to watch it.

@sherylsandberg , you are a hero. by @eschoonover

Do you see this smiling face? It’s the face of a hero.

Meet Rami, a farmer from the south of Israel who single handedly saved hundreds of lives on the morning of October 7th.

As rockets were flying towards his community, he received a phone call from a friend asking him to go save his son who was fleeing the Nova festival.

Without hesitation, he got in his car and veered straight into the depths of hell to find him. On his way, he started picking up anyone he could find, while also instructing people by phone how to hide or fake dead, until he could get to them. He’d take them back to a carpool of vans he had arranged, and then he’d continue on to rescue more. His phone number traveled through countless WhatsApp groups, with call after call coming in from those who were hiding from terrorists, or families begging him to find their loved ones. He did this for hours upon hours, at times hiding in bushes and behind trees, doing whatever needed to rescue as many as possible.

Many times he’d get to areas only to find countless murdered…he held one girl in his arms as she was dying, saying the Shema to her as she passed.

In one scenario, he miraculously told 6 terrorists that he was an (Arabic speaking) Arab Muslim and came to warn them that the IDF was closing in on them soon. He convinced them to leave the girl with him so they can escape while they still had the chance. I can only imagine how many angels were protecting him in that moment.

Someone asked him last night how it makes him feel to know that people around the world say we are lying, when he himself faced it first hand. He was at a loss for words. “I don’t know how to answer that. Those who saw it, know.”

He says the nightmares he experienced that day are things people don’t ever recover from. He can’t work, sleep, is in deep trauma therapy, and struggling to get through life one day at a time. Even amidst all of that, he’s finds it in himself to show up with that beautiful smile to courageously share his story with the world. I have no idea how he does it, but I am beyond grateful he does.

If you feel called to help Rami and his family financially, please feel free to reach out. taken in Tel Aviv, Israel by @eschoonover
