Our ESEA Cooks Filipino Supper Club with @theadobros took place on Saturday 16 May and we are still BUZZING from all the food and the friends made along the way. Thank you to all who came - to eat, to cook, to clean - to be part of our wonderful community 🫂A huge special thank you to Mark from @theadobros for guiding us as we navigated the flavours of Filipino cuisine. From the smoky talong to the tangy sinigang and of course the gorgeous golden lechon centrepiece with the Adobros' atchara pickles. Thank you for stewarding our varying cooking skills to create an absolute feast. We also can't forget the beautifully purple tiramisu full of ube goodness, which we could not have achieved without using high quality ube powder. Big thank you to @ubeba_ for their generosity, especially as a small local ESEA-owned business. As always, our supper clubs raise funds for @cccc.bloomsbury without whom our events wouldn't have a home. We are so happy to share that we have raised over ⭐ £1000 ⭐ this time, which will help to support the Camden Chinese Community Centre continue to provide their services to support the local intergenerational community. Our events would not run without our guests and our amazing, amazing volunteers. Whether you helped to peel bucketfuls of prawns, or scrubbed plates like a true hero, or filled our dinner with lovely chatter and fantastic vibes, we are grateful to each and every one of you for your support and endless enthusiasm for food and community ❤️See you next time...!📹 credit: @____________valentino #esea #community #london by @eseacooks

I hope you’re all as excited as we are for our Filipino Supper Club on Saturday…!For all our sweet-toothed diners, we will be preparing an ube tiramisu for dessert - an extra special ube tiramisu as we will be using premium ube powder donated by @ubeba_ to add the sweet, earthy flavour of ube and its gorgeous purple colour - what a TREAT 🤩Ubeba is a small, family-run Filipino business based in the UK specialising in natural, premium ube powder, bringing the flavours of the Philippines into kitchens across the country (including the CCCC kitchen on Saturday!). Ubeba’s ube powder is sourced from local farmers in the Philippines and is made 100% from ube, preserving its natural colour, flavour, and nutrients. We can’t wait for you all to have a taste of Ubeba’s ube powder on Saturday - the perfect dessert after a whole menu of vibrant and flavourful Filipino dishes 😋💜 Thank you so much to Ubeba for their kind generosity 💜 by @eseacooks

🍜 Have you tried pulling your own noodles?.Comment “SAVE” and I’ll DM you the recipe..Two weeks ago, I had the joy of being a guest chef at a supper club organised by @eseacooks at @cccc.bloomsbury . .With a wonderful team of volunteers, we cooked for 60 diners with a six-course menu inspired by the flavours of northwestern China, where I grew up..The highlight was inviting every guest into the kitchen to try hand-pulling noodles. Some were tentative, others jumped right in, but soon everyone was stretching dough and cheering each other on..The noodles were served with 大盘鸡/Dapanji, a braised chicken dish made for sharing, which made the moment even more special..Everything came together beautifully. The volunteers brought incredible energy, the guests were curious and open, and the room felt warm from start to finish..🔥Through this event, we raised £900 fund for the community centre!.Watch out for @eseacooks ‘s future events. I’d be very happy to work with the team again!.📹 by @jenny.danile .https://redhousespice.com/big-plate-chicken-danpanji/.#redhousespice #chinesecooking #handpullednoodles by @eseacooks

(Last post on our Dec supper club we promise!! 😅)Thank you to the diners for sharing a meal with us! Your warm presence filled Camden Chinese Community Centre, a place many call home and where all your generous contributions will be going to. With your help, we’ve raised over £1,040 - an incredible amount! We hope you were able to connect with new individuals or reconnect with old friends through good food. Heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers. Whether you were tirelessly chopping vegetables, shaping dumplings, working at the woks for 4 hours, serving tables, washing a spoon, drying the dishes or cleaning the floors, we truly appreciate your hard work and positive attitude. You were the backbone of this event and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you for your willingness to extend your time to help us, your kindness has not gone unseen. And of course another thank you to our amazing partner @celeplate for generously donating high quality ingredients to feed us all.We are so lucky to be able to gather and be supported by a wonderful community - it's you, our volunteers, diners, Yuklin & Rodney of @cccc.bloomsbury, and all our partners (past, present, and future!) that makes our community a family. 🩷See you in 2026!#london #esea #supperclub by @eseacooks
