🌌There is a place where all stories begin🌌

This is Damián when he was little! This one has been around my WIPs folder along other illustrations for a long time and I managed to finish it recently. I see a lot of flaws now but this illustration is special for me for the meaning it has so I don't mind at all.

Home is wherever you are

Sometimes our home is not a physical place. Sometimes you are lucky enough to have people by your side you can proudly call home 🌠

I had these two hanging around in my finished art folder and decided to post them. (I have...a bunch of art I haven't posted yet)
It's a different style, but I thought it worked well with this type of illustration.

🦅A Wizard of Earthsea🦅

Illustration I made for @sheppardarts spring mentorship of last year!

I first came across the Earthsea series during my college years. There weren’t any Spanish editions available for me to read, but luckily they started being reprinted shortly after, so I devoured the books. Ursula K. Le Guin was a fantastic writer, and her way of seeing the world was truly special.
I don’t usually do fan art, something has to really touch my heart for that to happen.

And here’s Ged. Do you recognize this scene? 🐉

Since it’s been a while since I started it, I’d like to redesign some things and give it a more serious and solemn touch, though without losing the colors. I’ve always imagined this world as colorful in a certain way (except for the tombs of Atuan, perhaps?). I want to do justice to Ged, Vetch, Farsee, Tenar, Arren, Tehanu...

If life allows, I'd love to bring them to life.

❤️‍🔥 I'm not a violent person but my work is one exception❤️‍🔥 Miyazaki by @parispaloma is out!

What she did is truly wonderful. Thousands of artists from all over the world creating together.

I found out about the Miyazaki project a bit late but I was having so much fun with this one that time didn't matter. I needed to pay my respects to something so powerful.

Paris Paloma's music always set my heart ablaze. Thank you.❤️‍🔥

I had the honor of illustrating the cover and edges of the special edition of You Weren't Meant to be Human, by @ajwhiteauthor, for @illumicrate/@evernightbooks @daphnepress.

The incredible cover design is by @chattynora!

Thank you so much for having me on board for this project!
It's a pretty raw and disturbing book, I've never read anything like it before and I'm fascinated. I tried to capture those feelings on the cover. Obviously I had to give a nod to Cabanel's fallen angel! - see last slide! 🫀

Mi corazón está hecho de sol, incienso y azahar
💚🤍💚

---

For many years, I had wanted to create a small piece expressing that feeling when the streets begin to smell of orange blossom and incense, and when the sun is gentle and does not yet burn. It is something that is deeply ingrained in my skin, in my heart. I needed to get it out of my chest the best way I could.

And that's a wrap! 2025 has been extremely intense, full of contrasts. It made me become tougher in a way. Made some experiments, to the point of dyeing my hair red and traveling abroad again (who would have thought?). I think it has accidentally been reflected in my art.

Professionally, it has been incredible. There are projects I can't talk about yet, but I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of them. I have met amazing people, many of whom I have admired since I was a child, and it feels surreal.

I wish I had done more personal art, which is most of what you are seeing here. These pieces will evolve as I have time, as I am fond of them and I think they can become something more special.

Some of them you already recognize, such as The Creature, or Crane, from the cover of You Weren't Meant to be Human by Andrew Joseph White. Working with Illumicrate has been a dream come true.

I don't know what next year has in store for me. I don't have many expectations. I don't usually go with the flow, but sometimes life forces you to. I'll go where art takes me. I'll be there.

Thank you so much for joining me this year <3

Gracias @gdtreal. 🍁

I left the cinema in shock. I couldn't process everything I had just seen. The first thing I did when I got home was turn on my computer and paint until late into the night. I didn't care that I had to get up early the next day. As an artist, it touched my heart more than usual. It felt like a warm hug, almost like a refuge.

Please go watch @frankensteingdt, now on @netflix. There's a beautiful documentary on how the movie was made.

Art lives on.
