This one involved a lot of problem-solving, a few “wait... what if we tried this?” moments, and plenty of creativity along the way. One thing about me... if it could be photographed, I probably wanted to try it. 😂 This Creative Detour took me into the world of product photography, where I quickly learned that making jewelry shine is a whole different game. Let’s just say this one was an all hands on deck kind of day. 😅 Huge shoutout to two photographers that know creativity and lighting very well, @caperture_pix and @swys_photography for helping me figure it out on the spot. We have to express our immense gratitude to you and the collective community that @revampswapfest has become. The growth of this ecosystem is proof that we can achieve great things when we come together for a greater cause. The growth of this community proves that we need each other. Proof that we CAN and DO show up for each other. Proof that sharing is healing. Proof that expression is activism. Proof that a small act can have a big impact. April 11th, we got fly, we made friends, and we impacted the world through community. Thanks to your time, energy, and heart, we collectively: - 13,012.17 LBs of Items donated by the community - 11,730.62 LBs swapped between one another - 1,281.55 LBs donated directly to local nonprofits in Metro Detroit For context, that’s 6.5 TONS of product saved from the landfill in ONE day! That brings our impact in 2026 alone to 29,079.56 LBS saved from the landfill! This is real, measurable impact and it’s rippling far beyond Detroit.
