I need my Mama’s help for this one.

Over the summer, WordPress and I have been battling, and I think I won the first round.

Welcome theyouthmanifesto.org

My baby. A site I’m dedicating to knowledge sharing, and situating everyday phenomena in well thought out pieces that hopefully will help demystify the process of research and learning, particularly for the young mind.

All this English is to say I created a website for @tymanifesto, and would like you to check it out!

Send me a dm if you’ve got any questions or feedback. I’m here to learn.

I’ve got an introductory article on there already, with the second coming real soon.

Click on the link in bio of @tymanifesto or @esikeps to check the site out.

Cheers to the start of something new! 🥂 A close up shot of Esi and her mother pictures in front of lush green hedges in the summer time. by @esikeps

Still here folks! Miss me?

So, there’s something that’s been on my mind lately. Spare me some of your time, & keep reading.

Before I became an overthinking adult I was this girl. Multifaceted, free to be, curious, and comfortable, because she had a space that encouraged that (s/o to my fam and day 1s!).

She was unafraid to try new things & aim for excellence in whatever she did: this girl has been in a dance competition, acted in French (s/o to Monsieur George🫡iykyk), etc.

But at some point the narrative that she had to be just one thing infiltrated her mind.

NOW I get that it’s my choice to make. To express dimensions of myself when & how I want to. And I plan to work my way to honouring that little girl. Most importantly, to discover & honour the vision of me that my Creator had in the beginning.

Think of this post as me thinking out loud, and perhaps, as a signal of what is to come, by God’s grace, of course.

P.S.: If you’ve never seen this side of me then we’re not cool like that yet 😜. Maybe we never will, and that’s okay. I’m an advocate of being the kind of valuable treasure that can be witnessed in action, but not accessible to all.

Brb. Throwing my phone in the nearest river. This is a picture of a young Ghanaian woman who longs for home. Taken at a beach, it captures both the consideration of the beauty of a new place, and the hope for time spent at home. by @esikeps

In case you need the reminder.
I know I do, from time to time.
Your existence is proof that there’s room for you. Take up space.

P.S: IG suggested the track. Isn’t the solemn vibe I initially had in mind, but it instantly gave me “Take up space” energy. APT🥶
