Middle School Camp + Last High School Camp dump 😢

This camp has changed me in ways I can’t even begin to describe. The friendships made, the experiences with God, the impact on my life, and the joy I’ve felt are just a fraction of the things that camp has given me. I gave my life to Christ at camp, I got baptized at camp, I baptized 8 people at camp, and I have felt the joy of the lord at camp. Some of my closest and most important friendships and relationships were made at camp. And some of the most vulnerable moments I’ve had were at camp. I can’t even imagine not going back to BGSU next year and having the best week ever, but the Lord has called me to greater things. Thank you for the endless blessings, support, prayers, laughter, and love.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity to serve my brothers and sisters in Christ. Even after three years, this trip still surprises and transforms me. A lot happened this year; me and Zoë missed our flights and had to fly to Managua by ourselves and taxi to Amigos, I stepped on a baby chicken (it survived), i had a record number of blisters, I didn’t faint!🥳, and much so more. This year I worked with my friends from Crossroads and the Amigos interns in the village of Manzano Dos to dig and build a septic tank for a man named Enoch. And we planted over 2,500 hamicha plants for Juan and his family on their farm in the mountains of Chinandega. I met so many new people and I loved talking to them in Spanish about their stories. I heard and saw Jesus in new ways through nature, prayer, people and work. I honestly can’t imagine being happy doing anything else but serving others. I am excited for next year and my future in Nicaragua. 🇳🇮💙
In Chinandega as it is in heaven!

From her leaking oil, broken windows, smelly vents, broken heat, flat tires, blown transmission, shot suspension, broken side mirror, leaking sunroof, dented and scratched paint, leaking coolant, shotty spark plugs, broken locks and seat belts, rusted shocks, awful battery, half a gas tank, and broken radiator, Daisy was the best car ever. Often called the death trap on wheels, she broke down once a week at the minimum, and had to get towed more time than I could count, and made me so late to school. She taught me how to work on and fix my own cars, and I’m forever grateful. I love all 226,890 miles. 1999 never looked better🤍 by @esmechacon3
