Im teaching puppy yoga and I’m obsessed.

Haven’t shared much about this yet, because I wanted to see how the first class went and it was amazing! So I’m letting you know that I’m now a yoga instructor with Pawsitive Stretch.

This is puppy (sometimes kitten) yoga that works with local rescues and adoptable animals! In addition to helping puppies get adopted, 25% of the sales are donated back to the rescue from every class. In today’s class we had cutest, most excited puppies running around as we did a beginner friendly yoga flow.

Allow me to re-introduce myself… My name is Dr. Erin Snapp. I did it! 🎀

Oooooooo what a day it has been! It still hasn’t hit me yet. I will have a lot more to say soon, mostly about the the amazing support I have received. But for now, I have 262 assignments to grade and submit tomorrow 😅

June 2026

This month felt quiet. I spent a lot of time at home. Cleaning, rearranging my house, purging my closets, reading, life organizing. Just looking for a big reset, I think. Still some highlights and accountability points to report:

-Two puppy yoga classes taught 🐶
-June Race: Detroit Riverfront 10k 🏅
-Pride SGT Mash up 🌈
-Nala got a clean bill of health at her annual vet appt 🩺
-Attended the PWHL Draft!! Say Detroit make their first ever PWHL Draft selection. Can’t wait for the inaugural season 🏒
-My mom’s birthday weekend included a Tigers Game, Jordan Davis concert in Windsor, and her first puppy yoga class 🎂
-Taught 56 classes & finished the Spring semester at WSU 👩🏼‍💻
-Mileage went down to 23.5 miles, but don’t worry, I’m back to paying Todd to hold me accountable 🫡

No travel planned this month, so I used my passport to drive 16 miles from my house and see the other side of the Detroit River… Side note - Tomorrow starts training for the next time I’ll be getting here on foot (and not in boots but look at mine here 😍). taken in Windsor, Ontario by @esnapp1

May 2026

May was hard. I’m glad it’s over. But here are the highlights.

-Admin’d a puppy yoga class and only had to clean up one pee puddle 🐶
-Cinco de Mayo SGT Mash Up 💪🏼
-Seeing Flatland Cavalry at The Fillmore Detroit 🎤
-Bonus winning a pass to the pre show acoustic set with M&G plus still getting out early enough to buy a fast pass and be front of the line! 🎫
-I Ran the D 5k PR - already recapped in a reel 🏃🏼‍♀️
-Catch up time with Marilyn & Zuri 🌸 Please know if your child asks me to climb inside their playhouse, I always will.
-My mom brought a dying plant up last year for me to give a second shot at, not only is it alive and well. It flowered this month and brought me so much joy 🪴
-Quick trip to St. Louis for my first Cardinals game and a Jordan Davis concert on the field ⚾️
-Wore my dad’s old Budweiser shirt for the perfect game day outfit 🍺
-Kacey Musgraves released what is going to be my album of the year 💿
-The sun comes up during my 6am classes again ☀️
-Flying saucer ducked 🐥
-Taught 56 classes and started a new Wayne State semester 👩🏼‍💻
-Ran 36.4 miles, which was more than double last month but 3.6 short of my goal for May. 👟

I Ran the D 5k - for the 4th time and the 3rd time it’s given me a shiny new 5k PR 🎖️

Love this race. Love this city. Love these sports.

Pistons & Tigers both lost today but 6,552 people ran the D and that’s a win. taken in Detroit, Michigan by @esnapp1

April 2026

Have these boots become my whole personality? Maybe.

Have I already done two April recaps and still ran out of space to summarize the rest of the month? Yes.

•As always, April turned into a whole birthday month celebration. Feeling so surrounded by love and appreciation 🫶🏻
•The start of estate sale season has been strong 🏷️
•3 animal classes this month: puppy yoga at OTF Dearborn, cat yoga and another puppy yoga class at FFA 🐱🐶🐶
•Completed my CPR Instructor certification. Now I can save your life AND teach you how to save someone else’s life 🩹
•Drove 408 miles round trip on a week night to scream-sing with my friends for a few hours 🚘🎸
•Took 2nd place in the Female 30-39 age group at the Earth Day 5k which turned out to be a grass / trail run 🫠
•Had my one year anniversary and my last day at OTF Dearborn, a bittersweet moment 🍑
•Not pictured, but finished up teaching at WSU for the semester, 80 students total 👩🏼‍🏫
•Taught / coached 79 classes total this month ⏱️
•As always for transparency, first two weeks of the month were solid for base running, then I fell off as you might see that I’ve been a little busy and exhausted 🫣😴

May arrives on a Friday with a new schedule starting next Monday and a new WSU semester next Friday. Maybe this will be the month that brings a little consistency 😅 taken in Hamilton, Ontario by @esnapp1

When the boots get bought, branded, and flown to the rodeo within a week 🤠 Shout out to the Detroit Tecovas location for hunting down my size and perfectly customizing this pair just for me!

I have a million pairs of boots, but I haven’t bought cowgirl boots since probably 2015. But I’m back and I’m afraid I may have opened a can of worms. Because what pair do I get next? 👀

This is 34 🤠

Year 2 of birthday trips with the greatest friends who really know how to make a girl feel celebrated 🫶🏻

Location decided by wherever Old Dominion is playing on my birthday. This year it was in a city I already loved, New Orleans. Making Louisiana my 30th OD show state. Added bonus, the show was at The Hondo Rodeo, which I loved and have already started looking up other rodeos to go to.

I still remember once in undergrad, someone said, “I always know when Erin goes back to her hometown because she starts posting country lyrics.” It’s still true, but now I think it can be anywhere. I felt like I was right at home there. Plus breaking in my new Tecovas, shoutout to my mom for those after I’ve been thinking about them since January.

I had one specific non-negotiable for the itinerary. Staying near one of my favorite bookstores / coffee shops, so I can go there every day. To my excitement, a couple weeks before our trip they announced there would be a book talk with 2 Chainz the night I was arriving. Thankful to my sweet friends for humoring and embracing all the parts of my personality and interests. Including giving me time to run in the morning or in the middle of the day.

Found several new gems in this wonderful city and had some new experiences too. Like gas station po-boys at 1am. Saw a second line!! Released my suppressed CoJo fan-ship, to my friends’ extreme confusion.

I’m so, so grateful to celebrate the start of another year. And for my friends who made sure every drink had a happy birthday sign in it, plus sooooo much more to make for the best weekend. See you in 9 days 🫶🏻 taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @esnapp1
