Wem gehört eine Stadt? Wer entscheidet über Freiflächen und wo können neue Einwohner noch wohnen? Meine Arbeit "Deep Black Well" wird in der neuen OSTKREUZ-Gruppenausstellung gezeigt. Diese stellt Fragen nach der Rolle und den Entstehungsbedingungen zeitgenössischer Fotografie: Welche Verantwortung tragen Fotograf*innen heute, mit welchen Bildern können radikale gesellschaftliche Transformationen, (geo-)politische Machtverschiebungen und fortschreitende ökologische Veränderungen sichtbar gemacht werden?

In Zeiten zerfallender Gewissheiten zeigt die Ausstellung Erfahrungshorizonte und Bilder von Ende und Neuanfang, Krieg, aber auch Solidarität und Zusammenhalt, wie auch von grundlegenden Umbrüchen von Lebensbedingungen.

Ein großes Dankeschön an das Team des @kunsthausdresden und an Christiane Mennicke-Schwarz als künstlerische Leiterin des Hauses.

In the context of Emscherbilder, I photographed my project Restraum in the Ruhr region. In this work, I explore urban spaces that are not the result of planning and initially serve no clear function. They are leftover spaces that people bring to life through acts of self-empowerment.

My project “Deep Black Well” has just been published in the new issue of the “Norwegian Journal of Photography” No. 7.
In it, I explore the wealth of Norway that originates from nature itself—namely oil. In the 1960s it was discovered beneath the seabed off the coast of Western Norway, as if in a deep black well. The country of fishermen and farmers became, almost overnight, one of the wealthiest nations in the world.
It has become a wonderful book with exciting projects. Many thanks to @frittord and all the other fellows. Thanks to my mentor @Laara_matsen for the expert guidance, and thanks to @Joergenmeyer for the great text! by @espeneichhoefer
