Reggae Renaissance returns to Brixton for another summer Sunday of reggae, dancehall, roots, rocksteady and rare grooves. Come and dance with us!

HEADLINER: JOSH SKINTS
Josh Skints is a founding member, co-lead vocalist and guitarist of acclaimed London reggae-punk band The Skints. Ad backing Dj of Lila Ike.
But he’s also a very talented Selekta and Dj as he has proven in his work with Lila Ike
Josh performs DJ sets across the UK and collaborates throughout the reggae and dub scene. He is also playing Wurl Sound alongside reggae legend Lila Iké.
Known for his energetic presence and excellent selections, Josh’s sound brings together Jamaican reggae and dancehall influences.
Expect a lively headline set packed with heavyweight selections, bass and soundsystem energy, that makes everyone dance.

I’ve been blessed with another opportunity to do what I love, and I’m truly grateful.

A massive thank you to the @bethnalgreencarnival team for inviting El Presidente International to be part of the Jamaican Independence Edition on Sunday 2nd August. It’s an honour to be trusted with bringing the vibes and representing reggae music.

Whether you’ve been supporting me from day one or you’ve never caught one of my sets before, I’d love to see you there. Come and celebrate culture, music, and community with us.

Big respect to everyone involved in making this event happen. I’m looking forward to sharing some quality reggae, good energy, and creating memories with you all.

Soundtrack of the summer: lexich3rry with Waste, produced by @derricksound.

This beautiful, soulful tune has been on heavy rotation lately. It’s been a long time since an artist I’d never heard before grabbed my attention from the very first listen, but Lexi Cherry did exactly that.
