Sonics for prying ears.
06·11·26 - Miles J Paralysis & Kristina May

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

If you’ve found yourself patrolling the shelves of record stores over the last few years, had your head twisted in a smoke-filled room, or been passionately cornered by myself, there’s a good chance a record by Miles J Paralysis has been at the centre of it all.

The West Yorkshire native has quietly carved out a singular path of dubwise grooves across his own Crying Outcast imprint, as well as Mysticisms, Long Gone Are The Old Traditions and Emotional Especial respectively. His productions seem to exist down a wormhole of their own, drawing freely from dub, low-slung techno, industrial, chugging house and post-punk without ever settling comfortably in one camp.

His DJjing follows the same no-rules philosophy. Genre boundaries are treated as little more than loose reference points, drawing from the same wide palette as his productions. Connecting the dots between records that shouldn’t necessarily make sense together, but seamlessly do.

Elusive by nature but increasingly difficult to ignore, Espionage is very pleased to welcome the now Glasgow-based Miles J Paralysis to Peckham for a rare appearance in the capital.

Check out stand out mixes on GGHQ and Phonica for a taste and of course, if you haven't already, support the music. Swipe for some personal highlights. @milesjparalysis taken in The Greyhound Peckham by @espionage.ldn

The first edition of Espionage welcomes two of electronic music’s most exciting rising stars. It’s a rare treat to showcase true double-threat artists whose studio output is both prolific and forward-thinking, whilst equally being able to tell stories behind the booth.

Espionage is proud to present Miles J Paralysis and Kristina May.
