For you, my graduate, my heart, my sister.

What a dream it is watching you in that cap and gown, standing proud in front of a sign that now holds your story.

Oregon State University, Class of 2025.

I need to tell you what it’s meant to walk this life beside you, even if our paths didn’t look the same.

From the outside, they’ll see you smile,
they’ll see the tassel, the stoles, the degree.
They’ll clap and cheer when your name is called. But me? I got to see everything else.

I saw the nights you didn’t think you’d make it. The tears you wiped quietly after a long exam. The way you carried the weight of school, life, people, and still managed to make everyone feel seen. I got to see the strength you never bragged about,the long hours no one thanked you for, and the decisions that shaped you into the woman you are now.

You chased this dream even when it was easier to walk away. You stayed when it was easier to quit. And you didn’t just finish, you flourished. You turned pressure into power.
Obstacles into open doors.

You never needed to be loud about your resilience. It’s in your presence, your grace, and your grit. You have this rare kind of fire. One that is quiet, steady, and IMPOSSIBLE to put out.

And while I didn’t finish college or sit in lectures with you, I was there. For all of it.
Not because I had to be. But because there’s nowhere else I’d rather be than beside you, cheering for the woman you are.

But this day. this win. this moment? It’s all yours. And I’ve never been more proud of anything or anyone in my life.

I don’t know how I got so lucky to be your best friend, but I do know this:

The world is better because you’re in it.
Whatever you do next. Career, love, life…You’re going to keep changing the world, one heart at a time.

So walk boldly, my girl. Dream even bigger.
And know, no matter where life takes you,
I’ll always be in your corner. applauding, praying, and loving you through every chapter to come.

Because I’ve always known you were meant for greatness. Now the world knows it too.

You did it. And I’ll be proud of you for the rest of my life.
