It was really lovely to connect with Elliott and Sally over the holidays and see inside their stunning Sydney home where my original artwork 'Escapade' now lives.😍🥰

This gorgeous home is located in the coastal suburb of Matraville in Sydney's East.

I loved seeing how the soft muted tones of the painting interact with the interior.

This commissioned artwork draws inspiration from the gorgeous interior styling of Sharon from @styledandstaged_au who styled this new build in Williamstown, Victoria. The home is absolutely STUNNING! 😍😍😍

The lovely owners, Natasha and Steve, wanted a large piece of original art for their open plan living/dining.

The couple searched high and low for an artwork to fit their size and colour requirements, and also appeal to both their aesthetics, but couldn't find what they were after.

They approached me to create a diptych that not only did all the above but also spoke to their coastal location and family in a unique and special way.

This painting is of the family's local beach, and the home of many happy memories, and features their son and daughter playing together in the scene.

I worked closely with the couple and drew inspiration from their beautiful interior, especially the rug and sofa Sharon selected for the open plan living/dining and the accent colour used throughout the home, Dulux Still (my current obsession).

Pure freedom on canvas. 🌊✨💕

'The Shoal' captures stripped back patterns and shapes I see in nature. 🌊☀️👙

Ripples become thick brushmarks, glare is seen in colour, the different human experiences are witnessed from a bird's-eye-view.
