I am delighted and honoured to have received the 2023 DYA Young Activist and Community Service National Youth awards. It was a year full of experiences, opportunities, and challenges, and one of the most important things I learned was to move at my own pace, put in the effort, and trust the process.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Youth Affairs and to everyone who has supported, motivated, and worked alongside me. I am forever grateful!

During the charge at the @jciantigua 2025 YEP Award Ceremony, it was shared that true success is not measured by the accolades one collects, but by the lives one impacts.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is knowing that, together with my team and other organisations, we are creating tangible, real-world change; educating our people and safeguarding the environment through practical, hands-on solutions. These efforts help ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the same beautiful world we experience today.

After the work by our volunteer divers we need to analyse what we have collected so we can forward the data at the end of the project. All fishing line, hooks and weights are recycled. Over the past two months, EAG launched its inaugural Offshore Island Guardian Programme, a milestone marked by lessons, growth, and challenges.

Interestingly, two of Flow’s very own youth influencers were part of the first cohort, but the internet we relied on wasn’t flowing. This minor setback quickly turned into action as Esquire and I rallied, and Flow stepped up in a big way.
