4 years married (today!), almost 8 years together. Not always easy, but some things are worth growing for. Rick, aka Rico, aka Rizz, aka Oreos, aka Loving Lion: thank you for choosing me every day, no matter what. I love you and am so grateful we found each other and keep turning toward each other. It’s hard to remember life without you because the minute you saw me my world became our world. And our world keeps getting better and better the more we say yes to love. Thanks for being my playmate, lover, partner, and friend. You’re a sexy beast and I am lucky to be loved so fiercely by you! As we move through our next year of marriage let’s remember no matter where we are, together we are home. 💕

Has anyone else noticed the elemental pattern of the last 4 years of Burning Man?

2023 was Water.
2024 was Earth.
2025 was Air.
And now 2026 is arriving as Fire.

Rick and I were talking about it on the drive in and realized our relationship has moved through a similar emotional cycle.

So we’re entering this Burn with intention.

How do we want Fire to live through us?

Not as irritation or short fuses, but as passion, devotion, and a commitment to be all in on enriching each other’s experience.

We talked through our triggers, came up with ways to lovingly interrupt them, and set an intention for what we want to feed instead.

Water asked us to surrender.
Earth asked us to be present.
Air asked us to adapt.
Fire is asking us to choose what we ignite.

And this year’s theme, Axis Mundi, makes the pattern feel even more interesting.

Across mystical traditions, the axis mundi is the sacred center, the point where earth, sky, and spirit meet. Not another element, but the place that connects them.

Maybe it’s coincidence. Maybe it’s synchronicity. Either way, I love the idea that the desert keeps offering us a mirror.

I’m feeling incredibly grateful for my experience here on this planet, in this place, at this time. There is so much beauty all around me, just outside my door. When I was young I wanted to leave North Idaho. She didn’t feel like enough for me. Now, I am in awe of her. Thank you @lovinglionrick for calling me back home, and for being the best hiking buddy a girl could ask for.

Today you would have been 77. I imagine your spirit dancing free, flowing with love. 💕 This video was our last dance party together just a few months before you crossed over. Things can change so fast. Life is so precious and fleeting, I’m reminded to savor the special moments. I’m so happy to remember your sweet playful energy,mom. I love you and miss you.

It’s hard to find the right words but I’ll try. My heart aches with sadness and grief, and is also flooded with gratitude and love. My mom, Bea Schreiber, took her last breath Thursday January 29th at 9am. I had the profound privilege of watching her cross over moments after sharing my heart with her. The experience changed me for the better. I feel a softening and a strength inside me that is humbling and fierce. Her essence was sweetness, kindness, playfulness, and love. She was quiet, but energetic. A busy bee who created beauty wherever she went. She made us laugh with her silliness and even though she suffered from dementia she never complained. She stayed positive and welcoming. When she forgot who I was she would introduce herself to me and compliment me. She’d instantly see me as her friend. Anyone who met her could see this special quality of hers to be welcoming, gentle, and kind. I intend to carry this quality of hers along with me and I’m grateful to her for strengthening me in that way. Thank you mom for being a light of love on earth. I find comfort in knowing you are one with the eternal light of love and your energetic spirit is free to expand infinitely in the universe as well as within our hearts. ✨💜🐝💜✨

We will celebrate her life this Thursday, 11am, at St Rita’s parish in Kellogg ID.

P.S. Rick lovingly helped me make the bee aside the long bridge in Sandpoint. She had a love for water and beaches so this was fun to make in honor of her. In the summer it can be seen below the water when swimming over it. 🌅 by @essani

This is 50! And the best New Year’s Eve birthday party a girl could possibly ask for. I am at a loss for words to express the depth of gratitude I feel for my community of friends and family who showed up for a vision of an epic celebration to kick off 2026 — and my 50th spin around the sun. We nailed it! So many kind words, laughs, smiles, dance moves, and memories were made and shared as we rung in the new year in style (and silliness)! I’m grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being a unique expression of love, curiosity, creativity, and humanness. ✨🖤✨ I’m also feeling grateful for my health. 50 is not what it used to be. I’m fortunate to live in a time where I feel empowered to fuel my body, mind, and spirit with the things that lift me up, give me strength, energize my vitality, and keep me feeling like the best time of my life is now (and I think it will keep getting better.) There’s a whole lotta juice left in this squeeze. 🥰🤘 I’m also grateful for my partner in life, @lovinglionrick for seeing me, lifting me up, loving me so fiercely, and being such a ridiculously fun teammate. Feeling grateful to be a part of such a special celebration and honoring of Jerry Garcia for three full days! Every day was amazing and every show better than the last. The mastery of these musicians and their instruments is so amazingly off the charts it blows my mind every time I see them! 🤯 Seeing Trey Anastasio jam with the band was next level. I can still feel it in my soul.

And so grateful for the friends we have connected with in this wonderful community of beautiful weirdos. My favorite kind of people. ✨🤩 Epic after parties too! Especially seeing Garrett from Jerry’s Middle Finger & his buddies at Balboa. Thanks @meikotakayama for the tip…and the tickets! Thanks @rainbow_chaser77 for being so friendly and sweet.

It’s been an emotional few weeks for me as I help my parents navigate their next steps, and I needed a sign that everything is going to be ok. Then Rick and I stepped outside to get some fresh air and a magnificent rainbow appeared before us. My phone couldn’t capture its true grandeur (not even close), but I saw it with my eyes and felt it in my body. The emotion…the tears… the rain… the rawness…they reveal a gift that couldn’t be revealed otherwise. A new layer of beauty, a special fleeting moment shared with a loved one, a reminder to keep looking up.

This isn’t the first time I’ve stepped outside and looked at the sky when needing a sign. Thank you, sky, for dropping my jaw with one. I really needed it. ❤️🌈❤️

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, Bea. She is such a kind, sweet, gentle, soul who I am grateful to call my friend. She has been struggling with Alzheimer’s, yet her essence is pure, and an inspiration to stay rooted in love. She helps me to remember that simple things, like sharing a walk, holding hands, a reassuring smile, a hug, and kind words, can make all the difference.

I love you mom. I see you mom. Thank you for all that you have given to me, and to this world.

Wow! What an epic weekend. We almost didn’t use our Icon pass but snuck in a getaway to Canada and had the best spring skiing adventure. The most incredible surreal views, a surprise powder run…looooong, wide, soft cruise-y groomers… and the friendliest people. Skiing is one of our favorite things to do together and this trip was so inspiring. More ski trips, less beaches? Maaaaybe. What do you think? 💕💕💕
