Tulips, for my abuela Rosita. They were her favorite.

I’m really short and these tulips reminded me of that 🌷
Also why is it suddenly windy as shit when you’re on a ladder ? (Ty Cris + Pablo) Hope it’s ok 👹 you’ll be seeing more of these 🫂

Second time outside, documenting the progress bc this shit is hard and mad respect to the people who pour their hearts into the art fr.. it’s humbling to say the least. Having a dope time learning fr 💐 by @esscoo

When I was in middle school I used to keep a journal. I would dump absolutely everything into it. It wasn’t special or locked up in any secret spot. It was just a regular spiral one subject notebook..

I can’t remember if it was blue or red but what I do remember is it was the most regular thing that became my safe haven.. Kinda like these doodles.

I wrote about the first girl I ever liked in it but I was scared that my mom would find it.. So I started dumping my thoughts backwards and upside down so that if she found it she’d struggle to figure it out.. eventually she found it and DECODED and annotated my little dumps - I was crushed - I’ll share more on that eventually, but the backwards upside down thing, it was what I thought would protect me.. I later found out - when I was in college, that little me did that bc she was in survival mode. On some prisoner trapped in the closet sh*t - literally- lololol but anyway

Today I’m in survival mode.
