We are so delighted that @essence.dnb agreed to do a guest mix for us! Thank you @buttons_dnb for your top selections - as always! 💜💜 Minimal, liquid and jungle have become Essence's favourite sub genres to mix. She's spent the past year figuring out how to integrate these to create dark atmospheres, euphoria and a sense of presence. Her goal is to create movement physically (but also spiritually) by using build ups, breakdowns and heavy drops 🌸 She loves to see people laughing, chatting, pulling the silliest bass faces when she mixes. For Essence, it's all about bringing people together. Libi asks: Your favourite artist no one knows about? #### produced one of my fave jungle tunes. I can’t seem to find this artist on any socials! And: When did you first start listening to DNB? I started listening to drum and bass around 2013. Shes studies the music that she loves - minimal, liquid, and jungle. Her mixing style focuses on crafting a journey that shifts between groove, dark, atmospheric tension, and euphoria. For Essence, music is about connection. ‘Nothing beats the feeling of bringing people together and seeing the crowd laugh, talk, connect, dance freely and make memories’. Essence has supported artists such as DJ Hybrid , Jam thieves , Phibes and Serial killaz! We look forward to Essence opening the night for us for her debut set with Escape Reality.
